Is the Tineco S7 Pro any good?!?! Well........ Review time!

I’m having a hard time understanding why you are so negative on the Tineco products. I purchased a S5 extreme two days ago and my floors have never been cleaner. Admittedly the S7 is a total gimmick, but my S5 has handled everything from urine, pet hair, mud, liquids, dust, and dropped food without any issue. No bad smell either from the waste tank or the roller, you should with any wet mop clean the tank after each use. Perhaps you are demanding more than what the products actually do? I’m extremely pleased with my S5 so I don’t really understand all the hate. It is much better than any other stick vacuum/mop system I have owned. Also stop putting it on the carpet that’s why you got clean brush. It’s not designed to be on carpet. Otherwise I appreciate your honest review. But Tineco is a lot better than you make them to be… except for the S7 I agree 100% gimmick extras save for ultra mode which is legit.

Hey Myles, thanks for weighing in. Glad you're having a good experience with the S5. For what it's worth, and I did mention this in a few videos, I like the S5 Steam - I still think the Mach v1 is superior, but its the best Tineco attempt by far. My gripe with Tineco in general is that they try that gimmick card a little too often. They also claim they have superior suction but they simply dont. That said, not here to yuck anyones yum. If you like it, more power to you!

Took my Bissel CrossWave Max Cordless back to best buy and wanted the same one but they’re sold out everywhere ..back ordered. So I decided to try the S5 Extreme and honestly I love how it drives forward on its own, love the no streaks left behind. I kinda think I like it more than my Bissell, although my Bissells clean water tank was much larger and greatly missed and I could do carpets with it

Love it! So nice to see someone REALLY critical about these products! I so appreciate how you tear this thing up. I am actually someone who has a lot of LVP and this product is perfect for it, so I thank you for making that clear, the TIneco S5 is perfect for it. Just wondering if the S5 Pro is worth the extra $ or not? does it just add a pretty screen or is there something functionally better about it?

Not worth it. Pretty screen is about it. I'd even suggest checking out Mach v1 instead of the Tineco products.

I got it recently for 550 on Amazon sold my EcoVac Omni X1 cuz one it sucked and not in a good way and two I was tired of having a Chinese mic and camera connected to WiFi that even when the mic was muted would not actually mute it. What I can say about this mopping vacuum yes they definitely need to add an option to turn off the assisted pushing on it, my wife likes it but I immediately like you hated it and thought the battery life would be better without it. That being said it cleans very well, even the stuff you have stuck on the floor it CAN clean it, just push your foot down on the roller and hold it there for a bit, it will clean it and its much easier than having to manually scrub it out, no robot vacuum on the market can clean stuck gunk like this thing. I didn't know about the Ultra mode myself and was extremely confused about it too since Max mode is theoretically the most it can offer lol, so good to know you're not suppose to use it with solution. My question is about the WiFi on this thing, I'm not gonna hook it up to my WiFi until I know exactly what this does in the first place, were you ever able to play with the app and see if there's any advantages or even the purpose of hooking this up to WiFi? My only hope is that you can turn off the self propulsion with a software update to it. Thank you for the review!

Software updates, yes. At the time of recording you could not turn off the self propulsion. I find no real reason to connect to wifi. If youre concerned with privacy. Don't.

The only thing I noticed but it barely happens is that when the floors are wet the wheels slip and cause it to go fast forward.

Im sorry however i would not consider this much of an HONEST review seeing how the moment you opened the box you had a negative attitude. I personally cant believe anything you say it sounds like u work for their rival! Also i just bought my 3rd tineco and i dont make videos i have a vacuum obsession. I have 3 dysons ive had 2 cordless bissell crosswaves a corded one, 2 LG kompressors the mop one i had worked for maybe 3 months the 2nd one i only got bc it was 30 dollars bc they didnt have the attachments but since my vacuum broke i had all of them. My tineicos are by far my favorite i opened it and used once and could tell it was in a class of its own. My son has a feeding tube and its the only thing i have used that can clean up his messes without having to scrape it first. I do think the s7 is over priced but you pay for the bells and whistles and the screen alone you would pay that for a cell phone x3 so i see why its priced so high but only if you have money to waste.

All the best! Did not expect the reply so I'm gonna take this chance to ask a question: Tineco S7 Pro advertised "centrifugal drying", how does that even work? Does it actually dry the roller effectively to prevent smell? I've seen some brands actually comes with hot air drying, any idea how do they differs?

@@Kaiyaz22 GREAT question, and something I should have addressed in the video. According to Tineco "it will automatically dry the roller after self cleaning". As usual with Tineco though there are some half truths and double talk. 1: We are testing the Mach v1 Ultra right now, and you can HEAR the unit drying the brush roller for up to an hour or so after self clean; you can NOT hear the Tineco doing the same for extended periods, if at all. 2: It's not heated air, its air from the vacuum motor that is blowing air into the roller chamber. (according to their reps) 3: the roller doesn't move post self clean so if it is in fact drying its just circulating air in the chamber without trying to hit wet spots. 4: Tineco still recommends that you remove the roller after self clean and let it air dry - why, if it is supposed to be drying in the machine? Ultimately calling it "Centrifugal Drying" is fancy marketing talk for saying it possibly blows air when it feels like, but does it make the roller smell any less? I'll be as transparent as possible and say that I didn't attempt to smell this brush roller after it sat around for long periods after testing, but I'll take their word for it.... maybe... lol

Looking forward to Mach V1 Ultra review, just took a peek and now that looks like something TRULY INNOVATIVE at this price point, the S7 Pro looks primitive by comparison LOL I'm also curious how do we exactly test out whether steam cleaning is effective. Maybe easy to test for removing stain, but how do we measure if it really erase household germs LOL, im no science expert haha. Feels like "Ultra Cleaning" gimmick all over again hehe

@@Kaiyaz22 yes so far the Mach v1 is my favorite vacmop we’ve tested. And we’ve gone through a lot of them. Steam is an interesting subject on these things because you’re right, while it’s supposed to help in stickier situation‘s, which that’s a tossup, I believe steam has to hit some thing for a certain period of time before it actually disinfects. So, in other words, the steam would just be used to loosen up grime rather than used as a disinfectant. A lot of these companies also advertise the steam getting hotter than it really does. That’s one of the tests we’re running on the Mach V1.

I just bought the S5 Extreme and returning it. Takes way too many passes and never lights up red when there is clearly dirt. I was going to buy the S7 Pro thinking that was the problem but clearly that won’t help. Can you provide a few alternatives besides Mach V1 Ultra? It’s sold out currently.

Hey Sonya, I'd really recommend waiting for the Mach v1 Ultra if you can. We've got a video on it that we're cooking up, and while it's not without its flaws, it's the best one by far. Shark's are solid especially for the price, but suction on them leaves a little to be desired. While I can't stand most Tineco products, the S5 Steam is far and beyond the best one they make. While it doesn't eliminate all of the "Tineco BS" it's the one I'd pick if I had to stick with Tineco. But if you can hold out until Amazon or Best Buy get's some v1 Ultras I'd recommend doing so.

Tineco is trash! I’ve been saying this since I bought the S5 Pro. Their customer service is horrible. The vacuum tells me to clean the dirty water tank when it’s ALREADY CLEAN! Will not remove dry spots on the kitchen floor, will not suck all the water from the floor leaving a streak on the floor every time, for the price, it’s a joke. Do NOT buy it, you will regret it I promise.

i have a s5 pro, used it for 5 months and died on me. went to a dyad pro, never again tineco. i got my dyad pro on sale for only $350, and 17k PA of suction, way better than tineco and it has drying too.
