Not really, eFootball is a mere mobile game from almost every aspect and it's console version literally has 0 difference. While FC/FIFA series and this UFL was actually made for enjoying ourselves in consoles and that's the reason FC mobile significantly differs from EASFC gameplay. Also if somebody have eyes, the first thing anyone will feel after watching UFL's gameplay is that it's probably a duplicate of EASFC or a FIFA like game. I don't even have to say anything, the gameplay and maybe the card designings are entirely a FIFA clone

You probably started playing in 2020 when it was all about UT so you're used to being ripped off and accepting it. And that's a shame tbh because you'll never know how to the games were when they were forced to bring out a COMPLETE game on disc before they could just bring out a halfasssed game and rely on updates every 72 hours.

I came into some money in 2018 and must’ve spent 20k in the game. (I packed 1 Ronaldo LOLOL.) I broke 7 Xbox elite controllers that year and I kept them all to remind myself. Even though I played for a decade, haven’t bought a fifa since 2020. I played a bit of PES last year. Even less this year. I bought UFL instantly. $20 CAD. what is that? That’s a Big Mac meal ffs. I’m happy to support this attempt. I hope this creates some competition. Honestly, I’ve been hooked on FM this year and last year but from the few matches I’ve played of UFL, I’m excited.

In order for me to give this a shot, I need a few things answered: Can I play the offline mode actually offline? (I’m a Steam Deck user and like to play PES 21 while sitting at my kids soccer practice) How many players can play offline? I enjoy docking and playing coop with my kids Can I change the names of the teams and customize kits if I want? Is career mode realistic, and does it include international play? All those would make it a yes for me

FIFA is undoubtedly a very refined game, but it's become nearly unplayable online. Offline I expect it will be the better game for a long time to come, but online is really ripe for the picking. That's also why I don't think that focusing on licensing or offline modes would be the right call, you are not going to beat FIFA that easily at what it does best. If they nail the gameplay and competitive online modes, then they have it in the bag. My only "issue" now is that I absolutely love the new Rush mode in EAFC, and even though it still plays like garbage online a lot of the time, it's difficult to go back to 11v11 with AI after this. If a competitor focused entirely on creating a Rush-like 4v4 multiplayer experience, I would be all over it for sure. Licenses don't even matter for that kind of mode since you'd create your own custom player character anyway.

The game is not bad. The gameplay is much better in terms of fun. But it needs polishing. FC25 for example is much smoother because of all the animations. UFL is on good path if they fix it rather swiftly otherwise it die and EA will milk players even more.

It's got a similar dynamic difficulty system as EA. What it appear to do is give you a different set of sliders than your opponent so your players iq, reactions & positioning are terrible if you're good or winning. That's it just another way to script the games. Definitely not based on skill.

Give it time to cook, there’s huge potential with this game, and yes there are issues with the game. Passing is like a casino, never goes where you want it too several times, also passing weight is awful. Gameplay mechanics are definitely hit and miss, so it can be frustrating to play at times. However I’m going give this game a few months and see how the game evolves, and hope the developers can improve and fix the game
