It's not so much that "THIS operation" is the "most successful". Ukraine has been "preparing the battlefield" for months by CONCENTRATING their efforts on reducing Russian supplies and supply capability, which does NOT result in headlines-grabbing victory in and of itself, but it PREPARES THE WAY for such victories. Preparing the battlefield is like when the offensive linemen create a hole for the running back: The star running back gets the highlight reel footage, but it was the nameless linemen who enabled it all.

It seems a bit odd to question whether the "war is over" after 6,000 kms are taken. I think mobilization is closer to a reality than Russia just putting their hands up and giving up, but at the same time, these things are unpredictable. It is possible the Ukrainians can end this war quickly...but that would require a massive operation across a stretch of flat land against a fortified enemy (whose been there, in some places, for 8 years). It's obviously a wonderful development for Ukraine, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
@mezjean5966
@mezjean5966 2 жыл бұрын
Ukraine simply does not have the men or firepower to conquer/occupy Russia. It will be impossible for both Russia and Ukraine to enforce a peace deal upon the battlefield. When Russia loses the Donbass it will not simply roll over and die. Russian officials and the Russian military are both calling for full mobilization. The kremlin can declare Ukraine to be a terrorist organization, which allows the Russian armed forces to indiscriminately bomb Ukrainians civilians and increase the amount of troops on the ground. Which might be the first step for the Kremlin to escalate this war. The absolute worst thing Ukraine could do right now is to start murdering Russians on Russian core territory(That includes Crimea). That would make all of Russia angry and bloodthirsty and a genocide will follow.

I must point out the amount of ammunition that the Ukrainians have Captured is incredible. One of the major underground shell stores within the whole region was recaptured. I saw stacks and stacks a 152 mm 122 of various shapes and sizes as well as tank ammunition. Warehouses full of normal munitions. Yet a lot of the munitions expended in that northern campaign believe it or not were Soviet hero or Russian design. They probably captured enough 152 mm 122 mm artillery ammunition to resupply their front along the whole length. In fact enough stocks of basic infantry ammunition was available so I didn't have to await resupply and I could push forward faster. I know it's also the captured some fuel. The amount of serviceable equipment that was captured was incredible and some have said it estimated close to a billion dollars. So when the Russians move their 2 divisions or more worth of troops down South they move the men and maybe a little bit of the equipment the rest was preposition there and left the rest behind. The Ukrainians probably inherited enough to form another mechanized division.

I think they'll retake kherson, hold the nearby river and then try to push the east and sweep the orcs in a clockwise movement. It means Ukraine can attack from multiple directions as their own line will be slightly longer on that side than the Russians. Also means that Ukraine could just keep striking the crimea bridge with artillery which when the land route is cut off, is the only supply route to the rest of the fairly large combat force. It would effectively cut off the entire enemy front line.

Look at the history of Taiwan. The Chinese only started colonising it in the 17th century, possibly as a result of the region being opened up more by Portuguese explorers though some Chinese knew of its existence before that. There's still a remnant of the native population living there with political arguments over how much of the current Taiwanese population is native, mixed or Chinese. So China controlled Taiwan for around 200-250 years before the Japanese came, the Communist government never controlled it but they like pretending it's been part of China since ancient times.

Every reasonable mind already knew that Ukraine could win as soon as it was obvious that the taking of Kyiv had failed. The Russians have limited themselves within the framework of the special operation. If this is waived you really think Ukraine would survive the full measure of Russia's arsenal incl biological and chemical weaponry? The rand corporation study which the White House seems to be following wants Russia to fully commit and they are aware of this. This brinkmanship may eventually cost the world dearly. Do you honestly see men who suffered the humiliation of the 1990s allowing the USA to do the same again? Their warnings of the wet burning isn't hyperbole , it's a consequence.

Things are a little clearer now, those who have been watching the news regularly should remember back in July the Ukraine defense ministry said something big was going to happen in September, that the Russians were going to have a hot summer. They even did a parody video of cruel summer by bananarama. Now, we know what he meant, so this offensive was planned months ago. Here's why they waited till September. The UK remember said they would train 10k Ukraine soldiers every 120 days. (4 months) It's a four week training class. So that means they are training 2,500 a month. Plus New Zealand, Denmark, Norway and Canada sent a couple hundred instructors to help train more. That's at least 3000 a month. So after July and August they would have 6000 well trained fresh troops. Which is why they are totally overpowering the Russians, and all the territory Ukraine is taking, on Oct 1st they will have another 3000 fresh troops to hold those positions. Another 3000 Nov, another 3k in December. This is why Russia is finished, they can barely scrape enough people at prisons, homeless camps and nursing homes. They can never keep up with the Ukraines. It's all but over, the only question is how much more equipment and men will Russia lose before the Russian government finally cashes in Putin's frequent flier miles and gives him a flight out a five story window.
@petros311
@petros311 2 жыл бұрын
but still rusia has the option to mobilize more troops, if they finaly decide to declare war, and you can add 2-3 months for re/training of those troops. i guess would strain russias economy and other key areas but they dont need to made general mobilization maybe just 5 year worth of conscrips just say from 20-26 years old. sure those would not be on par with proffesional or contract soldiers from moral point, but you can make serius train of conscripts if you have some time. i am not sure how low its morale of rursian people to fight on this war, maybe its the most big problem for russian troops.

It takes time for preparation on the military training for Ukraine to be able to fight the most fortified country in the Earth that is Russia. It is not the Russian forces that are confronted with Ukrainian forces, but the separatists of Donbass helped by the Russians and in the South, it is the Russian expeditionary force that occupies the territory. Ukraine has mobilized the entire male population in fighting condition. This is not at all the case in Russia. The balance of power remains in favor of Russia, which has not committed the maximum number of military resources to Ukraine, but only 150,000 men, compared to more than a million on the Ukrainian side.
