This was great! I was hoping you'd make a video like this at some point ever since the original came out. It was interesting to hear you point out areas where the falls weren't quite realistic, I imagine it's the limitations of the physics simulations to fully account for real life factors (and also at the end, where they needed the full tower to fall down quickly for the shot so they just triggered additional fall spots from the back even though it was the front domino that tipped over)

I wish I could try to simulate even 1,000,000 dominoes . . because 70.000 dominoes slows my computer allmost to a standstill so for over 1,000,000 I'd need a super-computer

(1:34) No, it's not. The explosive will end up splitting the domino in two, sending the rubble in both directions, and causing what's on the other side to topple as well. This didn't happen in the video, but in real life I think it would happen.

It’s interesting to watch these and see if maybe fiction can inspire reality. I do have some drone footage of a small domino setup, so it’s definitely possible. With some testing I bet you could do it with a bigger setup. A high ceiling is helpful. Another fun fact: if the dominoes are two feet apart a chain of 3,000,000 would be about 1,100 miles long. Structures would reduce the amount of space required. But there’s no way this has that many dominoes.

It's a fun, entertaining, and well-made video. But it's clearly not real. They are overacting in the way people typically do in fake viral videos. The way the dominos fall doesn't seem quite real (too slow). They would never get permission to do this in public, and if they did, there would be barriers and police to protect the public. (And there would be a lot of public.) They would not be so close to the dominos since it's clearly very dangerous. The texture of the dominos doesn't seem quite real. And so on. Also, there is a difference between realistic and real. It could be realistic without being real. In this case, it's not quite realistic and it's not real.
