Hopefully you enjoy this Dollar Tree yarn video. If you've had any experiences with Dollar Tree yarn (good or bad) I'd love to hear about it!

I love black too! 🖤 I haven’t tried the chenille yet since I like to make blankets and would need so much. Lol

Oooh yeah, lol you would spend a small fortune getting enough yardage!!!! 😂

Great idea for those mesh bags. They would also be great for keeping amigurumi parts all in one bag.

That’s a great idea!

Shannon, enjoyed your videos on yarn at Dollar Trees. Last year I won a small giveaway, during the JulyFairies giveaways. It was called Crafter's Square. Small skeins, I got 2 kelly green and 2 pinks and they had iridescent threads thru them. I love the yarn, but they no longer carry that brand, at least here in the Phoenix Arizona area where I live. I made an ear warmer for my granddaughter with pink. It is so pretty. But now in my Dollar Tree I only find the Just Active.

Oh my gosh, I’ve never seen any iridescent, I bet that’s super pretty!!! Isn’t it weird how hot or miss the DT can be??? Some.are so nice and others are a total disaster! I’ve been seeing a few hauls lately where people are finding some really pretty fall colors in the just active, so I’m hoping they come to my store!

You’re welcome! Not everything at the DT is a good purchase but I do like those velvet yarns! If you buy some, let me know what you think! 😃

@@ShannonTalksYarn I'm obsessed with yarn!! Has anyone told you about ice yarn? I found some really great yarns through them. Before you order, watch some unboxings first. Unfortunately you have to buy them in packs rather than individually.... So, got lots of great yarn that way.😁
@ShannonTalksYarn2 жыл бұрын
@@stacyhortner8105 YES! I’ve been wanting to order from them! I’m sooooo intrigued from watching unboxings. But the shipping always makes me hesitant. I bet I could get some good bargains if I get over it, lol! The other company I want to order from is Little Knits. Have you ever ordered from them?
@stacyhortner81052 жыл бұрын
@@ShannonTalksYarn I have just placed an order with them. I ordered mainly seed beads and perle cotton for embroidery and a pair of interchangeable Hiya Hiya knitting needles (love both their crochet hooks and needles). Got a couple of sale yarns too😬

That hat and bootie set is adorable!! I think I need to give chenille yarn another chance. I had an awful experience with it on a project about 10 years ago and swore it off forever. But I’m thinking yarn has come a long way since then, so I should try a project again. I agree on the cotton. You can get better value elsewhere, especially with sales.

You should give chenille yarn another chance! In my experience, I don’t like using it for any project that needs “stretch”. And one of my absolute favorite things to make with it is scrunchies!

I bought 3 different color skeins at $tree and crocheted them together to make a warm winter hat. I understood these were Premiere brand yarn. 1. The colors were pretty and sane, good for a change as makers have gone totally round the bend in recent years. 2. The yarn felt good in my hands, worked up well, no splitting, no knots, good stitch definition. 3. My hat looked great, better, it felt nice and warm on my head and didn't irritate my skin as most acrylics do. 4. Ok, it doesn't come in rows and rows of bins in every wt. and color, but if you want something simpler and definitely satisfactory, you should try this yarn. It's just very nice.

I really like DT’s chenille and cotton. Their cotton is the same 85% cotton 15% polyester as Joann’s big twist. They both feel way softer than sugar and cream’s and Crafter’s secret. But my favorite cotton is HL’s I love This cotton! 😁 And a tip to really know which is better price wise is to divide the cost by the yardage and you’ll see what the cost is per yard and then you’ll know exactly which is cheaper. 😁 Those laundry bags look like a great use for yarn storage! Have a great day!
@ShannonTalksYarn2 жыл бұрын
The laundry bags have really helped me!! I do not enjoy detailed organizing lol, it needs to be EASY for me! I live rurally so I don’t have tons of options for buying yarn and I’ve really gotten to like the DT yarn……I’ll have to give the cotton a second chance too! Thanks for watching, I’m headed over to check out your channel right now!

@@ShannonTalksYarn do you buy online? I usually wait for deep clearance sales at Lion brand etc. 😀 I'm terrible at organizing. We live in a very small apartment with no closets and no real living space so all my yarn are in suitcases! 😂
@ShannonTalksYarn2 жыл бұрын
@@SaphStitched yes I have to shop online a lot. But if I’m in a town with a yarn store, I definitely check it out! I’ve never ordered from DT online though. I have an 120 year old farmhouse so not lots of closet space. I gotta do the best with what I have and sometimes that means there’s yarn everywhere 😂😂😂

I made a white baby blanket with the white chenille. I ran out and ordered it online from the dollar tree.
