This is such a great video. When I was overeating, meals stopped being a pleasure because I was never very hungry, I just stuffed myself with processed fatty/sweet/salty foods, and increasingly cheaper and not good quality, as I ate so much of it, I could not afford to buy great quality food anymore. Now I'm WFPB and slim, I can still eat generous portions and my body gets all the nutrients it needs. Occasionally I am not satisfied so I just eat one more sweet potato or a bowl of veggie soup or half a kabocha squash or a piece of fruit, but it's rare that I feel the need to eat between meals, I am Italian and we don't snack, we just have proper meals. I always have ingredients and meals ready prepped in the fridge and freezer, and don't bring any junk food into the house, it doesn't even appeal to me anymore. If occasionally I have cravings for sugary/fatty/salty foods, they pass quickly because I don't have that kind of food in the house - if you don't buy it, you can't eat it.

AGING.I have found I can no longer eat like before. I eat smaller meals and can’t eat fatty foods. I lost over 60 lbs. in my Sixties.

I'm working on this balance. Ive tried the starch solution and found myself over eating. At first I felt great but definitely starting to feel like I was missing protein and fat.

I find that what helps is to plate (or bowl) my portions and not bring "seconds" to the table, leave that in the kitchen or the fridge or in the pot. If I bring extra food to the table it is much harder not to reach for it just out of habit or being on auto-pilot or wanting to "clean the plate," which is how I and lots of other people were brought up.

Even children today have signs of artery disease. Fast foods and sugary drinks have long term consequences. There is an obesity epidemic today where over 60% of the population is overweight or obese. What is common today and "NORMAL" is not healthy. The average person today is not healthy and is taking medications. Heart attacks were once only common in people over 65. Today people in their 40 are having heart attacks. Add more plants and vegetables to your diet and less junk and overly processed foods Get off the couch. Get off the iphone or ipad. Get up and go for a walk, run, bike ride , garden, work outside. Move more, sit less.

Awkward daughter exemplifies awkward father. He does better with educated interviewers who have a good selection of words as opposed to father and daughter who use the same diction. A differet person adds more scope
