A great snippet of lore: thank you for this Empress Geri! I pick the Emperor over Horus any day, the same way the Khagan did haha.This chpater really shows how Lupercal as we knew him died a long time ago: all that remains is this husk with delusions and who uses the warp like it was a toy. That Horus/Sanguinuis duel was well done: the next duel will probably be more epic!

if we believe that Power Corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely how can we not say the same for the God Emperor? how do we know that all the other "gods" didn't all start out the same way?

They didn't. Their way of coming to being is different. And they were corrupt by their nature, inherently. The Emperor also relinquished the God powers in favor of humanity and the whole universe's existence. So he did the ultimate selfless sacrifice. And what Chaos will never do.

Yes. The emperor is a tyrant enslaving humanity and forcing them to his will under penalty of death or worse planetary genocide. Horus is looking to free humanity from this oppressor and his minions.

Horus lupercal was demonically possessed he was completely losing his mind and was unleashing demonic entities upon the galaxy.. chaos is pure evil and Horus was genociding countless people how in the hell was can you say that he is a liberator??? He was a pawn of absolutely evil entities... If you believe that the emperor is evil then you are delusional truth be told the emperor has seen the specific path humanity had to go down for it's survival and most imperial citizens are very fond of the emperor if not worship him regardless if they weren't supposed during the 30k era
