"Is Miku real?" Nothing has meaning until we give it meaning. There's no point to anything until we decide it has worth. A landscape isn't art until we paint it. A song isn't music until we sing it. Conversely, if we decide it is meaningful to us, it has meaning. If we decide it is worthwhile, there is a point to it. If we paint it, it is art. If we sing it, it is music. So if she is real to us, she is real. If she means something to us, she is meaningful. If we all feel connected to her, we are all connected to each other. If she touches our hearts, then in some metaphysical way she must have a heart too. She wants to sing, but she can't do it by herself. People who create her songs and people who listen to them are what give her life.

A lot of people make fun of anime characters for not being real. The thing is, if you say anime characters do not "exist", how can you say love does? Emotions, stories, concepts.. all of it may not be a physical thing we can touch, but they are not any less real than the humans we are. The personality of a waifu, though "unrealistic", is a thing that exists. The songs that Miku sings, and her voice, we can hear it yes? If it touches our hearts so damnj strongly how could it possibly not exist? I'm sure you can see it too, the heart of Miku.
