Great video! This is great when modelling semi hard products like bags and shoes like I do

I hope their team would implement direct vertices transforming options

how to create new body, when I click on the wall it doesn't appear, create a new body. and this help was needed.
@JLake3D Жыл бұрын
If you double click on a body to use it as a plane, you need to create a sketch and then extrude it to make a new body. If the surface is not flat, use the project tool to project a sketch onto the surface and then extrude that. To see this in action check out my snow man tutorial 👍

Think they'll ever add surfacing considering it's the same platform that solidworks uses?
@JLake3D2 жыл бұрын
I think they will but more than likely in a slightly limited capacity. Although considering you can also use the app on desktops maybe they will do the full option.

@@JLake3D Hope so 👍🏻 Funny the things you assume are in the app but only realise when need to do it, that it's missing.

It was like that for me as well 😂

@@JLake3D Ha, I'd say we're not the only ones 🥴 Well, it's definitely continuously developing, so here's hoping it comes sometime soon!

I cant do product design without surface.. i was shock when i found out when they dont have surface modeling.. ima go back to solidworks :(

Nagyon jó, de pont az nem látszik, hogy éppen mikor melyik parancsot használja ! 😢

Sorry Istvan, I translated what you wrote but I think it did it wrong. What did you mean exactly? This is how it translated- “Very good, but it doesn't matter exactly when you use which command!”

@@JLake3DIgen, néztem én is, hogy rosszul fordította. Azt szerettem volna mondani, hogy a menüben nem látszik melyik parancsot választod ki, mert rövid ideig látszik.

Not true surface modeling Surfacing from open curves and the ability to merge surfaces into a closed quilt is true surface modeling

Thats why I said “as close as it gets” in shapr ;)

Since its a direct CAD modeling software we try to accomplish the same goals using different methods 👌

@@JLake3D understood similar conversation when SolidWorks first came out there are painful limitations without surfacing functionality, especially with Industrial Design SolidWorks eventually introduced surfacing and it is very good Alias, NX, Catia, Creo (and SolidWorks now) are the standard tools for ID Shapr would be INSANE if they introduced surfacing Best workflow I have ever seen! Don't get me wrong, I bet i will be able to get 75% of my work done with Shapr Thank you for the video post - good stuff!
