Pride is a response to hatred, rather than backing down we stand up and make our voices clear

Beautifully put, a great explanation of cause and effect! (I know it’s naive but) I really hope Pride can continue to thrive and grow without the hatred in the future!

for me, pride is a way to express myself, but not a bad way. personally, I don't like certain pride things like fetish and shit like that. but other than that I express myself mostly because of home not being supportive. but some people do go too far like fetish and leather and other things but other than that, thats pride for you!

I hate that you don’t get the support you deserve at home. But I’m very happy you’ve created your own support system and I hope they always make you feel fantastic about yourself, because you are fantastic!! And thank you for sharing in general, sincerely!

The baby scene was hilarious! 😂 BTW as someone's who LGBT, I agree with your views.. to me pride is just accepting the way I was born and I feel that some of my fellow LGBT people overdo it in a way (ESPECIALLY THOSE BDSM LIKE PARADES) that's uncomfortable even for me, to me pride month/celebrate is just loving, supporting and accepting myself as well as people like me! ❤🏳️🌈

I feel so silly because I didn’t realize just how prevalent the “BDSM Wave” was in the parades until I started making this video and also seeing the various comments talking about it. So, I really appreciate your insight! And I’m ecstatic that you’ve found peace and acceptable not only in yourself but from all the great people you surround yourself with, that’s amazing!! 🏳️🌈🥳 And thank you 🤣 it was a fun scene to put together!

So, I often wear pride flags on a daily basis because: I don’t do it to show who I am, I do it to show people are not alone! They have been forced to hide so I want to give them a safe space. Also I love that you started with a Brandon rogers video!

I don’t know if you were given the same support that you’re currently providing for others. But it’s very forward thinking and emotionally intelligent to do something like that. As you give people both directly/indirectly a sense of feeling seen, heard and supported. You’re sensational! And thank you, Brandon is top tier for sure, glad you liked it!

@@UMBR. Thank you so much for the endless support that you provide! I know there's an abundance of resources but do you have any specific brands or websites you shop at for rainbow/ pride appeal that you'd suggest?
@aneighborstale3 ай бұрын
@UMBR. It got STOLEN?! That’s ridiculous, I’m sorry! But I completely understand, regarding all your various purchases. Come to think of it it’s probably even better that way as you’re supporting local Pride businesses!

lgbtqia+community is a minority, so im more focused on how our rights are being taken away esp as a trans person. so no- there shouldnt be a limit bc when we start limiting others that turns into policing and we already have so much to worry about like not getting murdered on a daily basis for being ourselves. The more we normalize queer culture, the easier it will be for us to survive day to day in society

People get inclusivity mixed with too much of it way too often
@aneighborstale5 ай бұрын
So do you mean there’s too much energy towards inclusivity or towards something else?
@Awesomeguy63815 ай бұрын
@@aneighborstale No, I mean people think having 1 or 2 gay characters in a piece of media is too much and “forcing it.”
@aneighborstale5 ай бұрын
@@Awesomeguy6381 ahh okay, I gotcha! Very true and I feel like so much of that media narrative could be solved with basic research, conversation or genuine open-minded desire to learn from the community. It’s not as if they don’t have millions of resources they could pull from

Do you think people should limit their level of pride expression?

@emilyvoorhis3673 would you say there’s extremes of it? Or should self-expression be left alone regardless of how “extreme” others may find it?
