Guys please, changing the coach would do nothing for this bunch. When are we gonna learn that our board put the fans in a situation where we must be patient if we are to have ANY chance? 3 different teams in 2 1/2 years with all being under 24-25 with all these long term injuries l. For crying out loud, NO manager will catch a break with this chelsea team. I know we are frustrated and the easiest thing to do is blame Poch for everything. We put too much pressure on an unachievable reality. Even the players cant perform consistently because they know that if they miss one shot, one tackle, one save, they will go from hero to 0 real quick because our fanbase has turned toxic. That is a reality. The fanbase has lost itself and instead of being a reflection of this poor season, we are projecting onto the players, staff, and management a poor season. Just BELIEVE. WE WILL GET THERE BOYS! WE WILL COME BACK 🔵🔵🔵

Our biggest problem this season has been our defending. Period. Full stop. This is down to injuries to our back line. All (except for Gusto, Silva, and Disasi) have been injured for an extended period of time. Our preferred back four of Chillwell, Colwill, Fofana, and James hasn't taken the pitch this season. Not for a single game. And it's clear that our second-choice defenders, on the whole, are not good enough to carry the club for a full season. But don't take my word for it. Look at the numbers compared to last season. We conceded an average of 1.23 goals per game last year, which was good enough for us to be tied for seventh. This season we've already conceded the same number of league goals we conceded the whole of last year in ten fewer game, or 1.68 goals per game. Our attack last season was really dismal, averaging exactly one goal per game. This season, our attack has been much better. We're now averaging 1.75 goals per game, so this is a marked improvement. So, if we had a healthy back line, and we were defending as well as we did last year, we'd be in decent shape with a +15 differential, and we'd clearly be in the mix for the top six and maybe even the top four. It really all comes down to our defending and the fact that we're not deep enough in that area of the pitch to withstand long-term injuries to our top players. This is why we keep hearing rumors about new defenders being scouted. Having said this, I agree that the players have not bought into Poch and it looks like they never will. We need a replacement. But a huge chuck of our woes is out of his control (unless you think he's somehow over-stressing our players and causing the crisis, which is entirely possible). Just saying that it's not ALL his fault. We need to take a long, hard look at the medical situation. We also need to realize that muscle injuries are going to be more common on the coming years, given the long-term implications of the ongoing pandemic. We're not the only club, or team sport for that matter, going through this.
@Bling_CrosbyАй бұрын
Ive always been of the opinion that you need consistency in selection if you want to keep clean sheets.... with our injuries that's been impossible

Didn't have Colwill last year, and Fofana was majorly injured too. Kante was out whole of Potter era. We're just grasping at straws honestly. I would be genuinely curious how many ofour allowed goals were scored in the first ten minutes of the second half. We are a first half team. If someone could figure out why we start the second half so horribly, we'd rocket up the table. Even our defense is only terrible in the second half. In the first, we're good, most of the time.

After a few weeks off and time to reflect on their games am sure these lads will be better next season. We fans been wanting managers to get on the field and score and defend. Image Havertz scores all those chances and kepa could keep we would probably still have potter now and if Palmer Jackson, Conor, Sterling score all those sitters , we wud be top four and have a cup.so why sack the manger? We dont have a squad full of international starters like we used to its a different model so the solution of just firing and hiring a manger wont necessarily work. It stopped working even before Tuchel. Coaches were taking too long to figure out their best eleven expensive buys were turning flops cause managers prefer different option etc dressing rooms were always divided. Morinho went on to win serie A ucl in the subsequent years after we sacked him 1st, Ancelloti is Ancelotti till today we fired him cause torres flopped and we finished 2 points behind first place lol. Sarri walked cause we hung the sack over his head an entire season by the time we realized his worth he quit. Said all that to say its a reason why even Abramovic wanted Potch and Real Madrid. We say he didn't do well at psg but we blame him and not the fact that Psg was devided and the stars didn't get along behind the cameras. Arteta klop and Pep were all given time. And all these coaches choose their additions these days and no suprise its a three way battle between these guys for the title.

I personally wanted Sebastian Hoeness if we're going for someone upcoming again, but he has signed a new contract. So for me now I'd like Tuchel back just so we get a proper gauge of the new players. We need to remember Tuchel never had them, but was comfortably top 6 twice with us. So if we're flailing mid-table again next season with him then it's for certain it's the players that are more of an issue. Tuchel was also unjustly dismissed when many if not most of the fans were willing to give him time. He'd bring the fan-manager harmony back more than any random appointment that'll be questioned no matter who.

We haven't been able to rotate our midfield for or defence in months. We all know pochs first season in charge of clubs are average and then he drastically improves from there. Take injuries into account as well. We have the youngest squad in the league. Everyone also forgets that we couldn't score for shit last season too. Idk about Motta. I feel like there are other managers out there and available that we should ask first. Besides that Poch is putting up with our garbage (which not every coach will) and we could still finish on a high note with getting into Europe so the season isn't too bad. Should we sack Poch than we NEED to be onto Amorim. We should be all over him unless he publicly says he wants to stay at Sporting. If he decides to go somewhere else instead that's ok but there is no excuse and no reason to not be the first at his door. If it's not Amorim then it should be Fonseca. He' has reliably and consistently shown success wherever he goes and he'd be free in the summer. Likely not going to win us any league titles anytime soon but I find it hard to believe that Fonseca wouldn't get good performances out of our squad. We'd certainly be challengers but with how City and Arsenal are currently built it'll take a while to get us to being favorites for a title.

First I do not think we should fire Poch right now into the season if they decide to fire him at the end that's fine but I really don't think motta would be a good choice we have recently struggled scoring goals now mottas way of playing might look attractive but he tends to not score as much so why would people think that would be good for us. I still think he needs to prove himself at a bigger team that isn't us at the moment or stay for another season with bologna and play the champions league that is if they get it, because at that point if we want an inexperienced manager get the PSV coach or Girona.

My problem with this is we understand that players are not necessarily going to perform the same way in the Premier League but for some reason we will look at managers in lesser leagues and be fooled by their statistics. He has scored less goals at his current team and we don't know anything about the squad while they are young we don't know how many of them have been playing together for years how many of them are coming through the Youth Academy setup how many of them have been playing in Italy for years something that none of our players have majority of them are coming to the league brand new Young first time in the Premier League or first time in England on a whole
