I love the colours for the book this month and the edges are really amazing, they are so similar to the Illumicrate edition of Swordcatcher!

I'm excited about the book, I had no knowledge of it or its plot before getting my hands on it. The synopsis has me very interested. As for the items, I really like the drinking...jar? I think its nice. The weapon replica I'm neither here nor there about since its the first one I've gotten and I haven't read the book. Same with the key-chain, its cute but I've not read the book. The small items bag I don't really have a use for, I'll probably see if any friends or family would like it. Congrats on your channel's recent growth!

I’m a bit disappointed with the book. I hoped they’d at least do a cover change for this one as they’re the publishers. I’m very happy with the glass, I wanted one like this. The rest is ok

I agree with the items! I do like the cup but im not a fan of silicon straws I'd prefer metal or glass. The trident looks nice would make for good bookshelf decoration but it's nothing special to me. The keychain is pretty, but it's a meh item I just think keychains are so basic and cheap to the point where I don't see them as an actual item more of a little extra thing. The pouch I didn't like at all it's so cheaply made it feels so flimsy and smells really bad. I feel like they cheap out so much when it comes to the items which is so unfortunate. I get wanting to make profit, but every time I read the little pricing chart on the box i get disappointed because those items are incredibly cheap. If they'd spend a couple pounds more it would make such a difference when it comes to quality. It's not even like you get more items because they cheap out on them 😂 you still only get 3-4 items but with bad quality. The trident cost them £4, the cup £3, the keychain £1 and the pouch £1 so they're making about £20-25 profit per box. So yeah over all this box was meh to me. I did like how heavy and big the book felt and the edges and the artwork. I just watched your unboxing of the YA fairyloot this month and the items are by far better wow they're actually useful and look like better quality so sad I'm still on the waitlist

There are definitely months when we get better items. In terms of cost I would guess that a lot of the money goes into people’s wages. The Fairyloot box was 100% the better of the two this month. 🤞🏻 Fingers crossed for a good illumicrate next month 🤞🏻(the book should be a good one!)

Hi Michelle, I think I like the original colour way for the book rather than the special edition's colour because (at least on camera) the standard editions details show up better. The sprayed edges are lovely and the end papers are gorgeous as is the naked hardback. I know Elizabeth May is a well established author but I don't think I'd be interested in reading this one but then again ... never say never. As for the extras ... as we are frantically downsizing for moving purposes (except for books :) so I wouldn't be interested in anything there. We are about 90% there when it comes to buying/selling house/condo here which is exciting but also our heads are going to collectively explode with all the legalese and the scrambling to meet deadlines. Hubby and I have both agreed to NEVER do this again!!!!! Meanwhile ... for the first time in 32 years I will have a library above ground!!! Sixth floor to be exact. A library in the sky. Will they all fit you may be asking?? You're not the only one. Ahem! Never fear for I am determined!!!! Yup! Moving in June. I am babbling!!! Lovely to spend some time with you Michelle. Ah so you sold the house? That’s brilliant news! Moving house is such a stressful task; I don’t envy you at all. I hope that you have a lot of strong friends to help carry the books 🫣😊 I’m sure they will all fit (or you can force them too!😂). In terms of the book, prefer the reddish fire on the original cover… but the extras in this special edition are 👌🏻 I hope all goes well with the packing and the move for you 🤞🏻

Must say, jar with snakes, straight in the bin. Plastic bag ditto. Trident, well, a useless dust collector, to the opshop. Key rings ok but one doesnt need one, let alone two., to the opshop. Book cover is very nice though wld rehome it due to snakes. Must say, very glad I dont get the gimmicks, just a book. Thanks for tbe unboxing it reaffirms my choice. Do realisd some p love the gimmicks of course.
