I had the same experience when I ordered an item and the seller didn't ship it. No tracking info, and no way to file a statement of not receiving the parcel. E-bay directions in this case said to wait to the 30th of the month to file a case asking for a refund. I waited until the 30th and then tried to file for a refund. Problem is that there was no record in the E-bay system that I had made the purchase. E-bay had deleted all referenced to my purchase from the system. No emails or contact from the seller or E-bay. This cost me $65.00. I have also had problems with sellers claiming they ship from USA, and then ship from some other country. Could E-bay a some level be involved? I don't know, but there is way too much coincidence going on here?

@@evertonsway if the package gets 'lost' usps will only pay $100. You can insure your package to completely cover your phone. It's cheaper than you think. And it's good cya.

But how does that apply in this case? This is a return abuse. The person didn't claim they didn't receive the item. So I don't see how using eBay shipping for me sending them the product is an error?

Honestly, if a manager at eBay saw the work that you did pictures of the warehouse, discussions about shipping from different locations than where they received it, tracking numbers that seemed fake, All of those websites about being known scammers. I mean how could they be confronted with this? And even remotely side with the other guy. So really my question is this is did eBay take L and still give that scammer his money back?? All I can think is getting a" signature upon delivery" requirement. But I think eBay needs to answer some questions on why they changed this policy and what they're going to do to protect against scams. It could be as simple as you have to ship this out from a UPS shipping site and UPS has to verify that the contents are in the box

If the seller provides a return label through eBay in the return eBay assumes it was delivered to the right place. Scammers sometimes redirect a package to a different address in the same city so it looks like it was delivered since eBay can't see that info with their automated systems.

I got scammed as buyer and was able to get my money back. The scammer was able to request removal of my negative feedback. The sneaky scammer purposely left negative feedback in my positive feedback to make it harder to get rid of. Now I'm trying to contact ebay. Scammer blames the buyers in the negative feedback section. I think they're foreign using a translator by the way they communicate.

You should call the press and TV stations. Publicize this situation. See if you have a investigative news team. Feel for you...really. little tip. I take a picture of the weight of the box at the post office. If the buyer says it's a empty box, ask what does the stamp say.

Sorry you had to go through this. Unbelievable that eBay sided with the scammer, after all the info you uncovered. Good rule of thumb when using eBay - whether buyer or seller, never risk more than you can afford to lose if you get burned on a bad deal. It's happened to me before.

I got scammed out of a psp, supposedly the shipper was in the us but the tracking number and all the stickers said it came from South America, package looked like it had been opened and taped shut, all it had inside was an empty generic box and a usb cable, needless to say at the end of the investigation it was determined that I was a liar and I lost $140

Hate to say it your first mistake was listing a high risk item on eBay. Especially with low feedback score. There is no difference in payment method for Buy it Now or Auction just payment timeframe. No returns doesn't mean no returns. It just means no remorse returns. Money back guarantee trumps everything. It has been that way for a while now unfortunately. I'm surprised eBay didn't screw you over like they have screwed me over in the past. Congratulations on getting your money back at least.

I'm assuming that the scammers are using stolen credit cards and if so will I still get to keep my money if I prove to eBay it was a scam buyer? Does eBay eventually cover you even if a scammer uses a stolen credit card?
