Hey BrownBear... Congratulations on the jump from an Affinity Designer User/Teacher only... to the complete Affinity suite User/Teacher. You made/make the best videos of anyone on Designer and now a vert much look forward to your videos on the whole suite 'features'... as you did in this one. I know Designer you main thing but this was great! Loved it! Thanks.

Hi BrownBear. I recently bought the Affinity Suite and thank you for making this journey much easier with the great content that you create! I became such a fan of your work in just a short while. I do however wonder if you could make a video on creating 3D shapes. I am a teacher and I am trying to make my own classroom posters. The shapes that I want to make should be able to be recoloured should I want to change the theme at a later stage. The shapes include sphere, cube, cuboid, cone, cylinder, pyramid.

I'm glad you're finding the videos helpful! The affinity suite doesn't work with 3D shapes in an actual 3D way but there are workarounds to make a shape "look 3D" using shadows, glows or colour manipulation. I'll add this to my "Videos to make list" and it'll hopefully be out soon 👍🏽

@@BrownBearProductions Thank you! I tried my best using the shadows, but it looks funny! LOL. Looking forward to your next video!

Hello BrownBear thanks for the info with the linked assets, brushes etc....really cool question: the whole thing works only with the tools I have installed on a computer. What if I want to use, for example, brushes created on my computer at home also on the laptop. What is the easiest way to use my created brushes on other devices?
@BrownBearProductions Жыл бұрын
Your best bet is to export your brushes and import them to your laptop. At the moment content link doesn't work across other devices but hopefully in the future

Hi, thanks for your great videos. Is there a possibility to position a complex design, e.g. a business card several times on one page, and if I change the phone number in the master file, then the number changes automatically in all copies?
@BrownBearProductions2 жыл бұрын
Yes, check out my video on "Symbols" you can then link the elements on the original with the copies so when you change one they all change 👍🏽

Thank you, going to check this out, sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. Pretty new to affinity, bought the V2 suite recently since it was a nobrainer

Well definitely check out the rest of the videos on the channel for anything you need help with. If there isn't a video yet then ask in the comments and I'll do my best to answer or I'll make a video on it 👍🏽
