Even YG made a statement about it and there are numerous articles. Lisa didn't sue him eventhrough he hurt her, their relationship was like brother & sister and she even took him with her on family vacations, made fun pictures or videos with him and he started to take her money slowly over the years, not at once. Which makes it even sadder because until 2019 where the law in Korea got changed she had gotten paid 6 times less than her members. (Sorn spoke about it in interview, Lisa never cared that she got paid less).

it is true. Lisa was scammed by her former manager for a million dollars. Lisa actually wanted to use the money to invest in real estate and was helped by her former manager but it turned out that the money was used to play online gambling. with an angelic heart Lisa forgave him. In my opinion, Lisa is more disappointed than angry because the manager has accompanied her since before her debut and is considered her older brother.

Lisa's journey has never been easy and I guess that's why we idolize her the most! Cuz regardless of all of these setbacks, She came back. She always does, never gave up. The most humble person ik. Even yesterday she was on paris airport sayin goodbye to her mom who was leaving for Thailand, lisa had to be on her flight to korea back after an hour. She was sad obv, but still greeted her fans who came to see her, she even sat with them for 10 min, had a good chat, signed albums and everything. Like so much in America we have atrophy or we do things like American idol crap which can make good tv but also doesn't prepare them only stuff like blackpink members did the 14 hour days for 13 days for years type stuff with vocal and dance lessons etc that level of prep work is extremely intense. We also do groups very sloppy like the girl group Dream that P Diddy created they just had a cousin or friend of one of there relatives fill out the lineup they lasted 1 album the members of that group had little to no personal relationship/chemistry which is about 80% of a groups success the other 20% they had no concept or vision of the group to market to the public.

Yeah all of this is true about the roaches and the million dollars. It's so sad. Imagine going to another country at 14 and not being able to understand a single word being said to you. I do know that Jennie had already been there for about a year and she had moved back from New Zealand so she was fluent in english and she and Lisa would have conversations in english when no one was around. Still, imagine only having one person to communicate with without using a translator AND that conversation was forbidden in the first place...

Most information in this video is true . And during trainee days, they stay in small dorm ( it’s not the one that you see in Blackpink house. In BP house, it was apartment that they live together after debuted and now members also change from this apartment). Stay in dorm did not mean BP members cannot support their living outside this dorm (because BP members come from good ‘or we can say wealthy families background, so they can support that), but it’s policies and company rule all trainees must live and spend time together….it like in military training and during that time ‘they don’t know they can pass and when they will debut...’. All BP members try hard for becoming they’re today (rich and successful themselves), that’s maybe the reason BP members have many haters because BP members very successful in their careers that come from their hard work and talent, but BP members also beautiful and have good family background but they’re still humble queens.

I've heard from Koreans about the racism. Friends of mine talk about their family and friends back in Korea, and they get embarrased by how Racist they are. Racism in South Korea has been recognized-particularly by the South Korean media-as a widespread social problem. Not to mention Discrimination against LGBTQ. Things may have gotten better but this just shows how prevalent it still is. The way they treat the foreign Idols just magnifies the issue.

Everything the video says is real. Regarding the manager, they had a relationship like siblings so she had the confidence to ask him to invest in real estate, but the manager took advantage of Lisa's inocence and spent all the money on gambling (which makes he commit 2 crimes, on the one hand the theft and on the other the bets since they are illegal in korea). After that Yg released a statement explaining that Lisa did not want to report the manager, and instead wanted to let him return the money in installments. This only shows the great heart of Lisa, even after being deceived she did not even want to report it.

Yes, it is true that the girls stayed in dorms that had cockroaches when they first became trainees. they talk about it in an episode of Blackpink house 24/7 and the girls mention that Lisa was the one who killed the roaches. I think it is over dramatized in this video here. Although all of them came from affluent families, they had humble beginnings as trainees.

The world of kpop definitely has a dark side. I love the music, but there is so much Toxicity when it comes to fandoms. There is a constant war where one fandom starts rumors about another, or makes accusations. Or any other number of maliciousness... all to "support their idols". It happens to every group. My family doesn't personally believe or refer to them but my grandparents and great grandparents definitely do.
