23:46 "Some of you got triggered by my first ever video because I said Seoul is the future." I think the Korea haters are out in force again. Seoul is definitely the future. Just look at the technology and conveniences throughout the city and country. More importantly, it is safe. Zane could have left his phone and camara, walk around for an hour, and come back to find his belongings still there, untouched. If not, it would be at a police station.

Sungsu was ans still is an old factory and warehouse area in seoul. And ppl renovate these factories into cafe, restaurants, shops etc. It gives retro mood in the town snd that's what's different about sungsu. Also this town is famous for pop-up stores. All the brands are opening their pop up stores here and instagramners runs into from all over the asia. :) I am a local working here and recommend to visit cafe Derim warehouse, cafe Onion, cafe Nudake, Dior house, Tamburine house and of course Seoul forrest!!

I'm really enjoying your series on Seoul. You get around more places in Seoul than a native reisdent of Seoul! They have that Knicker Bocker Bagel in Jamsil as well. But the hottest bagel shop is London Museum (bad name for a bagel shop) which they have a store inside the Lotte World Tower which you visited. It's also one of the most expensive places in Seoul to rent a shop now. You will gain weight if you visit Seoul. My wife gained 800g within two days of arriving in Seoul.

3:25 That's the famous salt bread bakery called Jayeondo Salt Bread 자연도소금빵. FYI: You have to first purchase your bread at the kiosk on the right and then wait on line on the left to pick it up. Personally, I though the salt bread at the Grandpa Factory, which is located up that street where the line is, was better (and bigger).

7:56 "Casinos are only for foreigners here in Korea." Yes. This is correct, sort of. Gambling is generally illegal for Koreans, even when they are overseas in Macau or Las Vegas. The only exception is Kangwon Land Casino, which is the only casino open to Koreans. It's located in the same province where the 2018 Winter Olympics were held.

Those cafes are re-purporsed workshops and warehouses

Zane: We know you like pizza, so on your next trip to Korea, go back to Seongsu-dong and look for Pizzeria Marione (마리오네). I think it's the best pizzeria in Seoul....maybe in Korea. It only has a 4.6 rating on Google, but a lot of the low ratings is from people complaining about the wait time and pizza dough running out, not necessarily the taste of the pizza. Unfortunately, there's no cell phone wait queue. You have to write your name on a clipboard (which is kind of backwards for Seoul).

Korea/Japan are the future. As someone from a very rural area in Europe it feels like traveling into the stone age when I come home from those country’s. You Americans are in the middle age 😂 but quality of life in these countries is insane. I mean, our shops closes at 8 pm, we have maybe 3 food delivery shops here. Grocery delivery? Maybe in 10 years. 2 busses a day out of the town, and so on and so on. Just compare NAVER Maps with Google maps, the difference is just hilarious. Its clean, it’s safe, what you can’t say for most of the citys here anymore (because of the failed immigration politics).

Try to gk to the cafe# the piano which is located in jongno. The address is 평창6길 71. And try to eat 돼지갈비 & 닭백숙. 닭백숙 with 녹두죽 (녹두죽 is a key point) is much better than 삼계탕. And when it comes to Seoul forest, at night, I mean when it becomes dark, the cafe and reataurant around Seoul forest is much better than the exact Seong su area. And hope you to go to Banpo Har river park.. there is a very very small artificial island. I hope you enjoy the trip.

07:13 I understand the feeling claustrophobic part. I generally feel that way in Korea. Even around the countryside there are hills or mountains everywhere. So be it skyscrapers or mountains, you're always enclosed or surrounded. Add walking through a maze of people in the subways or the markets and I almost can't wait to get back home to the open skies of SoCal and I've only been back in Seoul for a week.
