Hemet park does have lights every fri-sun. The local skateshop (codex) brings a generator and lights for the locals and everyone, every weekend for people to skate at night and escape the heat.

That park is straight bmx, but the 2 pump tracks are fun and the hockey rink has the best flatground

i think that park was built in 1996 or so. I remember seeing pictures of it in Thrasher etc..... there we pretty much no skateparks in southern California at the time. Except the ymca in encinitas and the small Huntington Beach park. So at the time it was a state of the art park.

We got a grant for the gibbel park fam , the city had no money to give us a park.. anyone who lives here would assume so as well 😂 much love Sean love the vibes in these vids

Hey Sean, Have you tried any of the symmetrical Egg boards? They are big, but have a shorter wheelbase. BTW, Zack's the last guy to be commenting about hats or headware. The man can rip on a skateboard. But his hamburlar hat is next level.

While the people there/local government have resources, I wonder what motivation could they have to renovate that park. I am actually curious, is there any reason they would care about skateboarding over other healthy recreational activities?

they finally pulled their finger out and have got spohn ranch booked to build a new park here, only took probably 10 plus years of people asking the city… meanwhile they’ve put in about 3-4 pump tracks in the area…..
