I mean what can I say about Phantasialand that hasn’t been said already. To have this as a place that’s a 10 minute car drive away is a dream. This park was my entire childhood and really made me an enthusiast. Growing up with Chiapas, then Taron und F.L.Y. is something I couldn’t even dream of. Even though I‘ve been to PHL hundreds of times, it’s still like stepping into a whole different world each time I go. This park needs to expand so bad, but the endless fight against the locals and the local government is just pain to watch for all of the German enthusiast.

I was at phantasialand this saturday and omg rookburgh is sooo epic with fly. FLY is more about the experience for me than the actual coaster, and the theming is brilliant. Taron felt faster than the last time i went. The park for me is just perfect, its small but you still can get lost if you dont go often. And im with sean on this one, i dont like efteling, this park is miles above, even tho most of the times people say its the other way around. The only downside to this park is that it ruins the rest of the parks hahahah

This park just looks fantastic, the theming and just the compactness. Thats why parks like disneyland feel so immersive. it’s because the compactness of the rides. Another ride that does this so well is Manta at SWSD. I love the rockwork and queue line which is just wrapped around and compacted into the ride. The lack of land really helps this park which I think more parks should look into.

Last time I was at Phantasialand Taron had a rollback, I was right after that rollback and the LSMs were turned up to 200%. That thing tried to kill us, that trim at the end also did nothing. I miss the old phantasialand :( The big mountains, the old color and the western theming at Colorado adventure (yeah. They removed theming there) ... The old logflumes (Stonewash/Wildwash creek) ... Temple of the night hawk... Race for atlantis... Gondelbahn 1001 Nacht... Walzertraum... Silbermine... Phantasialand jet... Hollywood tour... Because of shitty Brühl they need to remove almost everything from its past.
@linwolter47662 жыл бұрын
@@lessgo5214 I have been going there a long time but since I was 7 years old in 2010 I dont remember most of the old phantasialand stuff. I do remember how there was this wild west thing where chiapas is now. I do agree that it is really weird that Brühl is fucking phantasialand over this much. I also heard that they were maybe not removing the old coasters because of restrictions that would then give them even less space to build something new. All in all very weird moves by the city since phantasialand is pretty much all they have.
@IroAppe2 жыл бұрын
If they get enough funding, I really wouldn't mind if they opened a second park somewhere with space. With their mentality to do things, I think they'd totally make a great park. Especially now with Klugheim and Rookburgh they've shown that they are in the top game of theming. Before, I found it still excellent theming, but not as immersive as some of the attractions and areas at Europa Park. However now with those new areas - they are totally immersive. They know it now. They have a good taste with good coasters AND theming, now I think the only thing preventing them from building the best park in the world, is money and space. Because there isn't a park yet that has both, which totally confuses me. Either they build the best coasters, but just plain into the landscape like Cedar Point - or they have excellent theming like Disney or Europa Park, but are lacking in the collection of top rides.

Phantasialand is amazing. F.L.Y are is exceptional, definetly one of the best coasters ever. Everything from Queue to the Station, dispatch and ride is phenomenal. The Station and dispatch especially impressed me. Taron while being a little overrated and having some flaws is stil a world class ride. I especially love that 2nd launch due to it's sense of speed and sound. But all the quick turns and Transitions are also amazing. Black Mamba is awesome too, after riding this one, I can see why enthusiasts love this coaster model and I can't wait to ride more of them. The drop in the back left is actually better than the one on Silver Star (a hypercoaster) in my opinion. It is relentless and intense, it never seems to loose speed. It keeps the high forces up until the very last turn. Insane ride. Colorado Adventure had to be the biggest surprise for me, so janky yet so good. This ride is great for marathoning with always low wait times when others pull an hour long queue. I am not ashamed to admit, I greyed out on that one once. Super long ride and it never gets boring, Michael Jackson had a great taste in rollercoasters. Chiapas is also awesome, great Waterride. I hate water rides but it would've been so wrong to be at Phantasialand and not do that one. I hated it during the ride cuz we got soaked, but after the ride I started to like it. Talocan is a great show as an observer off-ride, and when you ride it you are part of a show, it's a little too much for me to handle. Winjas is also pretty cool, I also prefer FEAR because of the floater hill after the drop and the horseshoe turn midway through the layout. I also love the surprises. Too bad you weren't able to experience Crazy Bats, as a coaster it is extremely fun because of it's janky old track shaping and unique layout. But it sadly lacks in theming. Raik was also much more fun than I expected, great little coaster. Hotel Tartüff is also a pretty fun attraction, so weird but cool. So yeah Phantasialand is fantastic with rides itself, but the Hotel Experience at the Charles Lindbergh Hotel is outstanding. I say out of all Themepark hotels, staying there would've been so worth it in your case. Rookburgh at night is just unreal and the hotel and it's offerings are limited but so good. Honestly one of the best Themepark experiences, and I can't wait to go back this year. Great Vlog, aight I am done with this comment. Thanks for reading. Also: LET PHANTASIALAND EXPAND @Brühl! THEY DESERVE MORE SPACE!

Just came back from a 5-day trip to Germany, two days of which were spent at Phantasia. I'm surprised to see all the love for F.L.Y over Taron since I felt quite the opposite; Taron has been my beloved ever since my first ride years ago, it's a thrill every time and so worth even a long wait. I'll always come away from that coaster with a disbelieving smile, I have never experienced anything quite like it. The recordings do not do its' sheer speed on either launch justice, it almost looks slow in parts but I assure you it *is* *not.* The track is buttery smooth, and the roar that you hear and *feel* sing through you on the second launch is a symphony of pure power. Conversely, I found F.L.Y a lot less intense. The method of seating is novel, the aesthetic IS indeed immaculate, and I definitely appreciate having the credit for a currently truly unique ride - but it doesn't hold a candle to Taron for me. My mother and younger brother also rode with me, and both complained that the leg restraints were intensely uncomfortable against their shins throughout the ride's entire duration. Note that I had no issues with the restraints: I just didn't find F.L.Y to be especially thrilling. My coaster ranking for Phantasia: 1. Taron An EASY pick for first place, I said it all really. I'm much more of a speed freak than a credit seeker, so Taron is exactly my style. A beautiful, lengthy Intamin LSM Launch Coaster that will rock you. 2. Colorado Adventure A super fast and surprisingly intense, long-lasting Vekoma mine train! In the off season it frequently has really short lines (this might be because the entrance is a challenge to find, haha), so this is a must-visit every time you happen to be near it! Its' track is so smooth and well-maintained, I seriously had no idea that it is as old as it is - *1996!* That's a full three years older than I am! This is the most fun I've ever had on a non-looping coaster - it surprised me with its' intensity! Do remember to apply a bit of opposite force when riding, the seats are fairly hard and you could get a couple of bruises if you don't stay on guard. Any temporary ache is worth riding this fun little spitfire, though. 3. Black Mamba A great Inverted roller coaster by B&M, smooth track all the way. The loading bay area is a little gaudy with the disco colours but otherwise the theming holds up. Mamba is an older ride, built back in 2006, so beware if you wear earrings or glasses, but it's very smooth for an invert, and it's very clearly loved. On our first day in Phantasia, F.L.Y had some intermittent power problems and was closed for much of the day, but when it opened up the Black Mamba area became DESERTED, and my family snagged two rides back to back before we moved on back to Taron to test our luck with the queues there. Mamba's age shows most in a little bit of head-banging, and the air compression-based brakes hiccuping at the final brakes before the station. 4. F.L.Y This coaster wasn't open for much of our first day, but when it did open up, it kindly drew HUGE crowds away from where we were at the time, giving us more rides on coasters we knew we loved. When we tried F.L.Y first thing day two, the line wasn't big, and the theming was top-notch. It's a long queue route to walk though, especially if you have ride partners who have knee or hip problems, as the queue includes a lot of stairs (though this is not unique to F.L.Y - Phantasia is NOT wheelchair accessible). The seats are interesting, and the sensation of flight is definitely there at points, but again both of my ride partners (one older than me, one younger) complained about uncomfortable leg restraints.

Crazybats lost count :( Before you hear negative comments or hate about crazybats... Please hear me out... And accept the history and age of this Rollercoaster. It was called 1988 - 2001 space center. It was litterally a German Space Mountain in a (Disney Epcot's) Horizons building (which is (or was) actually not bad) which was planned to be called "Orion". They changed it to Space center later. The ride itself is not that intense... But more likely very very relaxing (which (again) is not bad). This simulated a flight through space. There were asteroids, lasers, rockets, astronauts, UFOs and space ships and the queue got animatronics, sounds and more. It looked actually very good for the 80s in Germany. Becaus the park decided to build winjas next to it in 2000... They themed "space center" to "temple of the night hawk" because it would fit somehow to wuze town. Phantasialand removed every theme object that had something to do with space. The station was themed to a jungle... And while riding, it was completely dark. Between 2001 and 2010 (I think) there was a hawk which was projected in the hall...But later there was nothing. Except from 2001 to 2015 a soundtrack from a Disney movie called "Dinosaurs" which was played in the hall and was actually very good. In 2015/2016 temple got a good IMAscore soundtrack. In 2018 phantasialand decided to retheme it again to "Crazybats" which opened 2019. To be fair... This doesn't fit to winjas and in my opinion... I hate that theming... It's a VR ride which is to this day actually very popular by GP's. To this day is temple of the night hawk is one of the smoothest Rollercoasters for its age... I love that thing... And it will be one of the most creative Rollercoasters... Just imagine. Right under the whole Rollercoaster construction is Fantissima and litterally a darkride since 1990. Sadly... That darkride (Hollywood Tour) Is gone. It was closed a few years ago. Fun fact: Temple/Space center/Crazybats is a MK-900 like vogelrok. _But it's not a clone_

That would be great but I'm afraid that they'd need to axe another big coaster for an rmc maybe the minetrain or that dark ride in the China area.

They never will have an RMC because of height and noise restrictions. The neighbours are very anti-Phantasialand and the town council of Brühl is blocking their expansion by not allowing them to build on their intended expansion plot.

Phantasialand is great, but Europa Park is still my Nr 1
@arturobianco8482 жыл бұрын
Efteling is my home park and does theming incredible well. But its a differnt kind of park and they need to space it out for enviromental reasons they can only build 11% of the park. Having said that Phantasialand is i think the absolute king of theming. Also if you are the more thrill ride person Phantasialand is defintly better then the effteling (efteling is thrill ride wise a nice park but just a bit avarage). For me personaly i think phantasialand is the best park there is (at least best european havn't done that much outside europe yet) About FLY it probable is the best flying coaster around and theming is even for Phantasialand great but i think it's just a nice coaster. Maybe i just don't feel it or i just don't like flying coasters that much. It's a bit like the flying dutchman on steroids for me. Experience wise phantastic cosaterwise nothing to really get that excited about it. Don't get me wrong its still in my top 10 coasters in europe but its in the second half.

I dont think Taron is overrated at all. Its an amazing coaster and just a bliss to ride. Some people have different expecations for a great coaster, but for what it is, it is still unmatched: A work of art and pure fun. Still my favourite after riding pretty much every major coaster in europe.

@@CoasterDash In your opinion ofcourse, Europa Park has much more to offer outside of rides that make the park something really special to me. That place could easily be a 4 day trip when trying out different expierences/shows/bars and so on, the attention to detail and respect for the culture and country they are emulating is amazing. Phantasialand is my home park so I'm not biased I don't think.

@@rechtebanana Well, like you said: Opinions In my humble opinion, Europa is not even top 3 in germany (Phatasialand, Tripsdrill and Hansapark are more enjoyable for me). EP delivers the quantity but lacks in overall quality, especially compared to PL. The only memorable rides at Europa Park are in my opinion Piraten of Batavia and Arthur. I dont get when people hype Silver Star and Blue Fire, it always feels to me they have never been anywhere else then Europa Park and think thats the state of art. Talking about art: Theming in EP is well done, but PL is just a completly different level. It is pure art. Again just my opinion, and i respect the way you see it. Glad we have so many outstanding parks in middle europe.

@@HoundZvsxEa i completely agree with you but you forgot Wodan, the only high quality coaster in the Park. however, as it stands now, since Voltron opened, i think Europa Park has elevated its ride-line up.
