Same with ladders, if you could just spam the button to grab it then there would be less problems, but you drop from the same button as you interact with the ladder. Small but kinda big gameplay flaw

I only started playing this game yesterday, so I had absolutely NO idea what I was getting into when we accepted this quest. Being thrown into naval battles and people relentlessly chasing us all over was hectic for my noob-self, but, we did it on our 1st try. Game is really fun

Funnily enough, when me and my friend tried this the key was taken on an adventure all the way across the map and back and put on a brigantine that had just finished a fort of the damned. We ended that session with 300k gold and three commendations grade 1.

Is it really starting wars though? Every crew I run into with the voyage up runs away for 40 minutes with the key or chest. Literally had someone try to put it on the Coral Fortress. Had someone try to put it down in the Servants Hideout. Had someone try to bring it to the Shores of Gold. Had people glitch it underneath port merrick where you cant get to it. Its super fun whenever people actually participate in the voyage, and obviously running around for positioning/resetting is fine. But c'mon.

I think the major issue with the skull (that was recognized later) was that it was too frequent and gave little reward. It still kinda gives little reward but at least there's guild rep now

I have had some awesome moments and have only sold 3 skulls! The first one, I got the key, opened my crew and had a guy join, fought a brig off for the chest and they spawned literally right next to us. We got to the island at the same time I was freakin out looking for Briggsy I almost didn’t get it

Starting wars? Where? Every one of them I've done so far has gone this way: Everyone joins, and wait as ONE boat gets the key and the chest, and then it's a TDM at the target island since everyone in the event can see where it has to end up. No naval, just camping on an island or being camped =S

My galleon went up against a Brig & a Sloop that started teaming to take us out. Our masts were down and we were constantly being boarded with our anchor down as well. And while we put up a good fight we inevitable sank BUT all 4 of us got the backspawn! We swam over to the turn in spot, set an ambush and right before a pirate was about to turn the skull in, my crewmate sword dashed him away, got the kill and we secured the victory. Afterwards, our three crews sailed over to Plunder Valley to do Glitterbeard. The chaos of battle was incredible and for our crews to come together in celebration immediately after was special. No toxicity here, just three crews congratulating each other on a well fought battle.
