She lost weight the first year they were at the 40, her belly was touching the ground. Now there is 2” of daylight under her. She looks happier since she has a buddy she likes. I’ve never seen Peaches walk as fast for as long as she did in this video. lol.

That the fastest I have ever seen Peaches move. Pocket is so good for Peaches. Loved watching the goat eat hay right from the donkeys mouth. They get along so well. Metildas knee is visibly much kess swollen. Glad that the vet school gave you an approach to help her out, she is at the right place. Another good rescue.

Yes, the swelling is down and she is definitely weight-bearing. Her leg is straighter and when she walks, she isn’t flinging the ankle in front of her any more, but she’s walking more normally. And as it is only a couple of days into her therapy, I think her progress is amazing. She must’ve been in a great deal of pain, but I think draining away all that fluid was the biggest benefit. Or perhaps it was a combination of the two. She is definitely on the Road to recovery.❤❤❤🙌🏻

Physical therapy works wonders! When I was in my 30's, the first knuckle of my pinky finger was shattered by a softball. My Ortho doctor, gave me a protective splint, but told me to take it off at least twice a day to squeeze a foam ball. My knuckle REFORMED from the dozens of bone fragments and decades later, I probably have 95% mobility in that joint. Much love to Mootilda and y'all with her healing journey. ☁🥰(Brooke) 🐄😎(Jason) 🌄

I completely agree. She is really moving around and roaming the pastors like I have never seen before. I think she is one happy little piggy. It’s amazing how just having a friend can improve your mental health and happiness so much that you want to do things with your friend, even if it’s not something you would normally want to do or feel comfortable doing. I believe you have a Black Beauty on Cog Hill Farm by the name of Pocket!!! I love the friendship of Peaches and Pocket! What an incredible relationship they have! A pig and a pony!!! Who would’ve thought!!! Peaches is getting so much more exercise than ever before!!!! I remember Peaches on your old farm in your driveway/garage and she seemed soooo pig that she could barely move. But now there’s some room between the ground and her belly it’s no longer dragging on the ground! Sooo happy to see Moo-tilda and her progress!!!! Matilda's injury reminded me of a knee injury my brother once had. He had to have fluid drawn out of the joint too. The procedure helped relieve a lot of pressure. I imagine Matilda must feel so much better and will use the leg normally now. The physical therapy you are helping her through will encourage her to do more with less thought of the pain she had before. Best wishes from northern Illinois.

As Jason was working solo with MOOtilda (around :19-:21), and other babies were close but not interrupting the PT I admit I shed some tears. It appeared to me everyone was aware something important was taking place and they were observant yet respectful. Sweet Jessi was super close yet not a distraction. Every creature on Cog Hill have a sweet and loving demeanor - same as all the humans on Cog Hill. It never ceases to amaze me how compatible everyone is. P&PP (aks Peaches & Pookie Pocket), are an amazingly wonderful Odd Couple. I remain grateful for the opportunity to observe snippets of Brooke and Jason's life on Cog Hill!

Just a suggestion: we had a dog who had a broken joint. She eventually healed. But in the cold days, we took one of my husband's soft socks and cut off the top using it to cover the joint so the bone would stay warm. She, too, had been shaved and we thought she would be more comfortable and still be able to bend the knee as she healed. Just a thought.
