It may have a slow fire rate, but ITS A FREAKIN LASER BEAM! And its got the damage chart as the SG553. This Assault Rifle is BUILT for Longer range shooting! I can tell you Favor up-close and personal weaponry (AK15, M4, Vector, MP7). The AUG is not for you. While not necessary, you could slap a range finder on it to see what how far your shooting.

The AUG is a midrange beast. 100-150m feels like the sweet spot for it. The TTK at close range is horrible, and the damage is too low to take full advantage of the great velocity, but it feels really good at a very specific distance. Maybe a weird comparison, but it reminds me of the Pulse Carbine from Halo Infinite: really good at one weirdly specific range bracket and that's it.

agreed the ttk is solid enough that when you dont miss it can carry its ttk very far

The meta on the Aug is that it is extremely effective against hell's with that extra mid range punch. Try it.

For large maps like Waki, Isle, Sandy I love running this gun. Definitely don't touch it in any CQC-Heavy maps

I just tried this gun right after the SG550, which I extremely enjoy, the AUG, feels aight as it depends on the map. They should either buff the RPM to 600 or increase the damage to at least 35. So it can at least deal with targets in CQC. Everything else about this gun is extremely powerful, but these are my minor grips if they want people to use this gun. Its just not for me.

The irl rpm for the aug is 600 so I honestly don't know why it's like 500

I've always loved the aug in games and loved it in battlebit as soon as I got it when everyone was calling it mid. Now all of a sudden I'm seeing all these videos about how great it can be. Love it

Inferior to M4A1, you can get roughly equivalent recoil with M4 while retaining faster fire rate. Tap-firing at longer range with M4 is what i'm doing already so the AUG is just a slightly higher velocity gun [don't get me wrong that's valuable at range] that has worse cqc capability I will say that it's easier to count shots in cqc though so i'm not like burning a mag on two dudes before i have to reload like with the M4 or Vector, but that's not exactly a point in the AUG's favor

This is the only AR I run a suppressor on. While it has a satisfying sound, it's also quiet, or somehow sounds like it's firing from a long distance away - which makes it amazing on flanks. I've cleared buildings without the other enemies in the room realising that my shots are literally right behind them - which makes it work better than it has any right to in cramped maps. Obviously still best to run it at mid ranges if you can, but it's becoming my favourite weapon on basically all the conquest maps.

Statistically the gun may be bad, but it sure does feel fun to use. That might also be because of the engagement ranges/targets I chose, but I found it performing well enough in the short-medium engagement ranges that I was able to get multi-kills whilst taking fire. That may be anecdotal evidence but I found that it performed well even without being attachment maxed out, I was using it for the first time with RDS and Basic barrel.

This is why it's my favorite gun in the game. It's the perfect comfort pick. Wanna land lots of easy shots mid-range? Spray snipe people down with the AUG!

aug is perfect for my playstyle. i have over 2k kills with it. you do not want to run and gun with this for sure. good for playing slow, cover to cover and picking off people from afar. also the aug's low recoil and velocity make medium scopes that much better on the aug compared to the other AR's

Honestly, the gun is just really underpowered compared to the others. And that says a lot about it considering there are other underwhelming guns in the game… you can’t deny it’s a nerf gun

Currently sitting at 1600+ kills with the AUG, I use the G5 Sight, Vertical grip, quick mag, green laser and short suppressor. Perfect gun if you want to flank around and counter snipers. The TTK up close is definitely garbage and you'll probably lose 3/5 fights but it does everything else well.

The recoil is actually very low. Unless you put a mid range scope. Though it has same issue as SSG550. The muzzleflash is rather bad.

Yeah the recoil is low but not as low as you’d expect for a gun for mid range although it gets a lot better

Only thing I want from the game is that AR mid range scoped recoil being not that atrocious😢 because you gonna get beamed from mp7/pp19/p90/vector from the same range like 80-150 meter combat lmao

Yeah mid range scopes on autos are basically useless unless you have a really good setup

I personally think if they increase the fire rate, it wouldnt be as good long range as having a slower fire rate makes it easier to control recoil (at least in my case). It would mainly just benefit close range.

AUG is a rat gun, perfect for flanking the enemy and shooting them in the back if you charge directly into the meat grinder with it you will die a lot

Hey strider, I know you’ve moved on to battle bit but you should hop back on pf. They recently did some reworks to the scopes and some red dots as well as fiddle with the sight magnification on the red dots. Now sights like the AUG’s scope and literally every ACOG are actually usable and look amazing.

One thing that is absolutely good about AUG, is its sound. Probably the coolest of ARs, maybe even all guns in the game for me. The sound feels like a punch. Compared that to SG550, its sound is horrible for me. Its like surpressed SMG

I have the most kills on this AR and have a 3.6 Kidd overall. I run verticals grip and compensator or tactical. It’s amazing at medium range.

@@StriderPF Passive aggresive depending on the situation. I would never use the aug on tensa or frugis. Mp5 or vector for those maps. I find myself not using the ak74 or m4 because you only get 6 mags whereas you get 8 with the aug.

Didnt really have much trouble with this gun at the start But my god is it really solid for midrange, can hold its own close up, minus against smgs, but its very nice I mean, for someone who sucks at getting kills and focuses more on healing the team (I have a horrid kd average of .9 last i checked lmao) it is the gun with my most kills, cause of the range and low af recoil

AUG with slip is my new favorite mid range gun in the game. Much better then scar. Accuracy is everything for me. Hate bloom cant control it. Recoil I can.

If you use it with a good setup and never enter close range ever since it’s terrible for cqc this gun is actually amazing I’ve gotten 50-7 games with it easily over 4kd games
