Is this How Petrol Pump Cheating their customers? Petrol Pump Fraud?

This incident happened at Indian Oil Petrol Pump. I went to redeem my Credit point for petrol but apparently I came across new story all together. Not really sure whether it was petrol pump cheating/fraud. Please watch video till the end.

Because the petrol pumps are connected to automation, all the nozzles need be tested before the start of sale everyday. Petrol pump sales man must take out the first transaction of 5litres from each nozzle in a 5 litre gauge to make sure the healthiness of all the nozzles. Also there is a time before which they had to take this transaction which in O&G sector is called as Testing. So when the FSM(Forecourt sales man) at the first petrol pump told you that he can do a 5 litre transaction it was for testing. The problem here is instead of taking that transaction out in a Gauge he put it in your vehicle. About City bank reedem point, I don't know why they weren't accepting. Whereas HP pumps have HP pay app, where you can pay using the app and get rewarded with points which can again be used for fueling at HP outlets. I hope you have been answered.

@@StoriesNRides now days all machines are transparent, they are checked by the weight and measure department, and after which they put a seal on that machine which the petrol pump owner cannot tamper with and it is valid for one year only and nowdays no chip can be installed also if any owner tries to tamper with machine a notification is automaticly sent to the company's central system which then they verify by visiting that outlet petrol pumps ajjkall badal gye hai abb bas logo ko soch badalni hai

Most of the Indian Oil pumps are automated. Every nozzle has to test with 5 ltrs everyday, then only the machine will be ready to operate. There will be a testing can in every outlet.

The said saleman has actually cheated his boss.. the 5 ltr testing has to be done in every 24 hour from the dispenser. So the said 5 lts should have been taken out in 5 ltr metal testing container after that they have to decant this 5ltr iin an underground storage tank.. But instead of this he sold it to customer.

@Maverick That is a possibility. Because, testing is not supposed to be the sale transaction. That fuel needs to be put back in the fuel tank. At the end of the day when reconciliation is done there is always a difference in qty. because of vaporisation of fuel. This is very much known to everyone at petrol pump. And an escape route of theft.

Sorry sir, pahla wala banda sahi bolraha tha. Har 24 hours mai 1 bar 5 liters na nikal ne se machine automatic off ho jata hai. Lakin unka tarika sahi nehi tha. Ush 5 liters ko upko nehi dena tha. It's not cheating , but all fuel station should remove testing of 5L and it is compulsory to do every 24 hrs and need to put back that 5L to tank. But instead he fueled to ur bike. It's not fraud. He should have put back to the tank which he didn't do.

Guys the petrol pump man didn't cheat the customer but he tried to cheat the owner of bunk. Fact is there will be testing of machines at morning and again at afternoon exact 2pm.And for the petrol taken through testing needs a bill which will be submitted to their manager or cashier. Hence he will take the same 5 litre bill and say it's the testing bill. And he will remove the exact amount in bill as cash so that it would be tallied at the end.

We're greatful that this kind of fuelling system has long gone. It's fully automatic. Self service and even you can choose mode of payment either cash (pay at the counter by telling pump number and amount) or all kind of cards and even using apps thru yr handphones!!!! No cheating and the fuel price also according to the latest world price.....
