Richard has been giving talks on non-duality since 2005 and has written four books about it, including the much-loved little classic ‘I Hope You Die Soon’. His fifth book, ‘Confessions of a Seeker’ is about his many years as a spiritual seeker but it also includes chapters on free will, consciousness and religion. It is sometimes extremely funny (one reader laughed so much she had to stop reading it in public places) and sometimes profoundly serious.

I liked your metaphor, "this sliver of light between non existence and non existence. I've never understood the no self aspect of nondualism but the time aspect has always been appealing. Only as I see it there's no no existence either side of the sliver of light, only eternal sliver of light. Very interesting. Thanks.

All is ONE - there is not two! But to experience this what do you do? For years I’ve given this lots of thought I’ve listened to speakers, to what they’ve taught. Then something hit me, right in the face, It’s all to do with what we call space! The universe is infinite - goes on forever you see. Hubble and James Watt give us pictures for free. Those photos are magic and pull at the heart Gazing at them is where you should start. There’s planets and stars and galaxies and such But that’s only 5 percent - which isn’t that much. The rest we ignore, which is our big mistake, Because we’re missing 95% of the cake! We all want harmony, oneness and love - The secret’s around us, down here not above! Yes the truth is staring us right in the face To experience ONENESS include the space! So make this your mission - your daily goal And with a permanent smile you’ll truly feel WHOLE! It’s all in the oneness (love’s the same thing) Get it in your heart and it will sing! The truth is staring you right in the face To experience ONENESS include the space!

thanks for sharing this, i agree with everything you said about eckharts power of now pretty much. i thought i might have been alone in thinking that it wasn't the same thing as whats taught by others about liberation. Ive found myself trying to connect the two for a while. I figured out that they do kind of connect but not completely. I would say that eckharts videos were very helpful to me at the early/middle stages of seeking as the function they served was to point out that it is what it is by literally being aware of what is as it is. Which is basically what the liberation teachers point out. However eckhart seems to do a poor job of explaining about applying the same thing to emotions and thoughts or even awareness/lack of awareness, leading some people to maybe believe emotions/thoughts/lack of awareness are bad and they should only be in the bodies senses not the mind and always aware etc. He does kind of say to be aware of those things too but its not explained very well how it all fits together. Then I found others who 'upgraded' the liberation to include thoughts and feelings and everything else too lol. Like liberation 2.0 and eventually the final liberation.

Tony put s down god but says this is only the beloved how can that not be the same thing when all there is this which is love and god is love? It's all the same thing there is only one thing, Advaita vedanta means not two means there's only one but you can't say it's one because there's no two to compare it too. so they say not two.
