Thanks for sharing, Kari! Was first intro’d to her through John Penney’s Jazz Fest Detroit show on Saturday nights on 90.9. He frequently plays tracks from the Sondheim album she did for Mack Avenue Records about 4-5 years ago. I’ve since added that one and her Petite Fleur album of a couple years ago to my Apple Music library. The Sondheim album is especially fun - she and her musicians completely reimagine his music.

Cyrille and Mathis were a treat to see in person. They also played in many other configurations on the ship - this was their only duo. I bought her CD entitled "I'll Be Seeing You" (2021) to support the artist's cause. As in her words - to stream knowing something is going to the artist.

Thanks for the tip about the Sondheim album. I've only heard her sing jazz with the Emmett Cohen trio and it's dynamite! It's lovely to hear her take on a Bob Marley classic, she brings so much energy, heart and emotional intelligence: a really thrilling performer. Her interaction with other musicians is delightful. Joyful genius at play.
