I'm actually glad you mentioned the frustrating phenomenon of careless and unfathomable packaging decisions, such as labels which peel or rub off bottles and leave you baffled about the identity of the fragrance. Jovoy in Mayfair is one of my favourite boutiques in London but their sample vials come with labels that literally disappear with no explanation. I have many sample atomisers in a box which leave me scratching my head because I have NO IDEA what the fragrance inside is as the ink on the label faded so swiftly. That being said: Memoize is the one stop-shop for people who love that rose-leather vibe. I'm currently trying to fill a 'reserved parking space' in my fragrance collection with the best leather-rose-oud fragrance I can find. There are so many on the market that my final edit is proving to be incredibly difficult. It's come down to performance for me: which one has the most impressive tenacity and sillage and retains a strong character for it's entire evolving lifespan on my skin, y'know? I'd love to hear from other lovers of dark, elegant leathery-rose fragrances as I love other people sharing their enthusiastic recommendations. I have five Memoize fragrance samples and I just cannot decide between them, let alone all the other options. Argh! I'm new to your channel and I'm really glad you started it. Such fun! ☺ PS= If you want some juicy reading for the tail end of summer, may I recommend 'The Ghost Perfumer' by Gabe Oppenheim? Amy from Savor Salvage Scent recommended it to me and I so I bought it and took it with me on holiday; I almost dropped it into the sudsy bubble bath, reading with my mouth open in astonishment. WOW! How Gabe and his publishers avoided legal issues with this book, I have no idea. It's really scandalous, such a page turner. As a fragrance lover and content creator I think you especially would love this book.

Thank you so much for this comment! I need to buy the Gabe Oppenheim book… so juicy 👀😂 I agree that having sustainable packaging is important and I’m glad to see many brands following suit. I recently tried a couple of Thames rose-Ouds and they were brilliant. Maybe they could be part of your sampling journey to find the perfect one? ☺️

Haven’t heard of this brand before. Was thinking before you said at the end that they don’t sound particularly mind blowing and I think if you’re spending a lot on a fragrance it should be something really unique and special… thanks for the review!

Hey! I think luxe fragrance houses should just allow us to choose if we want full presentation or if we just want a standard box! But I echo your thoughts on the bottle, at such a price point you do expect luxury! I haven’t really delved much into niche fragrances, but I always like hearing your thoughts 😊

I couldn’t agree more, Karan. Thanks for watching 🥰

Loved hearing about a brand for the first time, great review and I totally agree about the packaging being more sustainable and all. I'm not one to keep boxes so it always feels excessive to me knowing that part of the high price point in a perfume is going to that fancy presentation.

Yes I totally agree on the packaging. The brand confirmed with me that it’s all fully recyclable, so that’s a big win for me X

I agree Kristin. I'd rather keep that extra 50 quid in my pocket than pay for ostentatious presentation (Plume Impressions have the most comically over-engineered 'presentation boxes' I can think of, as in, laugh out loud funny. That being said, their 'Rivalite Imperiale' is one of my favourite fragrances). I love beautiful bottles though. Have you seen the exclusive range from Agonist, those sculptural glass vessels? WOW! The other brand with gorgeous bottles is Mendittorosa Odori d'Anima. If The Flintstones did niche fragrances...😄
