I remember the notes in between on the galloping part of damage inc when you're galloping on the E and then fret the A before playing the chords absolute fucking with me, could not get that working and had to put the guitar down and try later lmao Happens to us all

The opening riff in room of mirrors had me in knots for a bit. Thought I’d learnt it, committed it to muscle memory, then listened to the track again and I’d mixed up 2 notes. Unlearning the wrong sequence is harder than right first time!

i listen to lots of grindcore, death metal, and converge-esque metalcore- so i fucking love st anger, including the snare! i think it’s neat. the lyrics are….. odd, to say the least, but it’s cool. it certainly doesn’t sound like the rest of ‘ttalica, that’s for sure.

Hey man!! With all due respect, I just want to add on to the funny "it is actually hard" and "oh... bitch!" statements lol, not trying to correct you here ... but you're actually simplifying it a bit... It's actually a bit trickier. Let's see if I make myself clear so you can give it a shot and say that again haha... In the last part of the fast riff your letting go of the palm mute some notes before it actually opens up... You're muting on the 5th fret then opening up when playing the open cord and then finishing on the 3rd and 5th open... But it should be muting on the 5th, then muting on the open chord and finally opening on the 3rd and 5th... It has to be palm muted the exact same way as the first part of the fast riff. you're playing: 000000--0--3--5--0--0--333555--0--3--555--0--2--3 (the numbers together are palm muted, the other ones are open, so you're leaving that last 0 open, but it should be muted: 000) it should be: 000000--0--3--5--0--0--333555--0--3-555000--2--3 (it's six strokes every palm mute)... those three palm mute strokes on the last open chord before the 3--5 turn it up a notch, try it out!
