There's no contradiction about the genealogy of Jesus Christ. Matthew's account took the paternal path, while Luke took the maternal route in order to underline the virgin birth as projected by both books. According to Jewish tradition Joseph became Heli's son by the virtue of his marriage to Mary, Heli's daughter. This position is strongly supported by classical Jewish Rabbinical records (T. Hieros. Sanhedrin, fol. 25.3, John Gill's Exposition of the Bible on Luke 3:23). Such issue shouldn't have been brought up had it being Mr. Yusuf has done his due diligence on the matter as a scholar he claims to be. However, Mr. Yusuf couldn't answer any of the Christian brother's questions. Furthermore, the attempt to project a case for dual paternity of Jesus based on Matthew 1:1 is largely uncalled for. Genealogy is an exercise that traces the lineage of a particular person from generation to generation. Abraham and David were mentioned just to highlight their linkage with Jesus according to the flesh and not a bid to establish their parenthood to Jesus. Is Mr. Yusuf not the son of his forefathers?! This is definitely Mr. Yusuf's ploy to confuse and mislead his audience deliberately. The Bible doesn't need any repair, but go and fix the holes in the standard narratives of your quran according to Dr. Yasir Qadhi. Jesus is the Way!!!!!

The versions only differ in rendition, but not essence or meaning. For instance, the King James Version (KJV) was the first English translation of the Bible published in 1611. It was written in archaic (old) English which may not be easily read or understood by modern readers that's why there is the New King James Version (NKJV). Also, the original languages of the Bible could be vastly versatile (broader) more than English in certain aspects such that certain translators would like to bring such obscure aspects in KJV to light. For instance, John 14:16: KJV: John 14:16 [16]And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; AMPLIFIED: John 14 16. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever- The Greek word for Comforter is "parakletos" which has seven meanings but KJV rendered only one. That's why the Amplified bible gave the other renditions for the readers to fully comprehend and capture the holistic essence of the scripture. Be reminded that it's only the English translation that has different versions for better reading, but the Bible remains unchanged in its original texts. Kindly substantiate your claim that Jesus was a muslim. That sounds creepy 🤷.
