Thanks for the review. I've tried the 13 and the 15, but have never had the chance to try a single Rick. The 15 is phenomenal, but like you guys said, the price is a big hindrance to buying one for me. Keep up the great work

I was in Louisville when WT released this latest Rickhouse and drove over the following morning. I was in line when they ran out of bottles 2 people ahead of me, so had a pour in the gift shop and it was special. Was it 300 special, no. But a great Bourbon nonetheless.

I found RR 15 and Rickhouse F at a small bar, at a reasonable price, and got to enjoy both of them with lunch. Both are excellent with slightly different profile. I found the RR 15 sweeter. Fortunately, I found a bottle in California, but unfortunately at 1.5 times MSRP. Glad to have found it and share it with friends, which is most important to me. One of my top 5 of 2024.

I got to taste both the RR13 and RR15 earlier tonight. They were good, and the 15 was definitely way better than the 13, but I honestly didn't think either of them stood out as anything special. I was bummed that I had just missed out on a 13 a couple weeks ago at a raffle, but now that I've tasted it I'm glad I didn't spend the money on it.

R15 and Rickhouse like picking between my favorite children. 15 for when I want a ton of aged Turkey funk. Rickhouse when I want a more reined in Turkey.

I am not really nut-sensitive. I even have a difficult time pulling it off of Heaven Hill and Jim Beam products. IMO, RR15 is the best Russell’s product I can remember. I still need to do a side by side with RR2002. I have never had the RR1998. I loved the RRSR CNF. It was my whiskey of the year last year. But the RR15 was so much better to me. There is a dark note that reminds me of King of Kentucky, plus incredible fruit and balance for a whiskey of its age. Hard to top.

I bought one, and I know I spent too much, but I also know that it is real because I didn't buy it on the secondary market. I also got to sample it like 3 times before I bought it. Imo it's the next cheesy gold foil.

With RR SiB are the warehouses you look for specifically? What are the "best" ones?

My RR knowledge does not go that deep. I have never had a RRSiB I didn't like. Some I like more than others, but I have never identified what warehouses are creating that for me.

Just had some of the RR15, and it has far too much oak tannin bitterness. I have a Russell's Single Rickhouse Camp Nelson B as well, and it's definitely better.

I personally like RR Camp Nelson F better. The RR 15 is a little too oak for me and does not have the cola sweetness the CNF has.

You two said it nicely, but I’ll say it plainly. Russel’s 15 is not worth the money. It is no doubt a great bourbon but should really be priced in the ballpark of Bardstown Discovery series. I have had bottles of Kentucky Spirits CN-E that I’ve enjoyed more than RR15. Consumers, please save your money. Try it in a bar at the very least, before you get let down by the price you paid.
