As for making a legitimate 4 player game work, all you really need is to get all 4 heros down and any duplicates T5 towers as soon as possible. It's probably in your best interest to disconnect the other 3 players as soon as possible to reduce lag, but you probably know this already.

The problem is the very expensive towers, like Super Mines and especially VTSGs. Your collective farming will need to give y'all enough money to get all of that and THEN they can disconnect. So yeah, they will only be allowed to disconnect after round 200 essentially

@@tpfoxCastro Something I actually learned recently is that in co-op, you can only have a single VTSG. This does raise the interesting question of how multiple Champions of the Knight work since you suddenly have access to the tower now.

If you end up having to use mods for your late game co-op run I think it'd be acceptable. The lack of saves in co-op games just makes it unfeassable to do for potentially months, and network issues could easily ruin the entire run. Fortunately, past a certain point you can have your teamates leave once the setup is done, including all if the Tier 5 towers and Heroes, but you still won't be able to save and would only be able to buy/sell a single Ezeli.

This is only tangentially related to this video but I did some testing with Striker Jones' pierce buff, and it seems that while its increase is based on the tower's base pierce (e.g. 9 pierce for 3-2-0 sun avatar), its effect with other percentage based pierce increases (e.g. homeland, shinobi ninjas) is multiplicative, not additive; as a result, it seems to completely overshadow Obyn's nature's clarity buff, although it'd probably be really difficult to get to a round high enough for enough towers to get pierce capped for this to actually matter much.

I think Geraldos shop just for that camo pot, Rejuve potion and few extra sun avatars are still somewhat worth it, I’m not sure if strikers buff is enough to off set the pop difference

I guarantee you that you could get a few crazies in Mackans discord to do a real coop run with you. After all we were crazy enough to try a few chimps coop runs back when temple strat still worked. Never got a good seed tho which was a bummer... Anyways nice video. I think when we talked about this some time in the discord we came to the conclusion that Geraldos hero cape can only really be used to support temples and not completely replace them. If you're fast enough you can chinook like up to 5 towers into a temple. And you could fit darts in small nooks between temples and stuff like that. How was the lag here tho? I mean to rember from Mackans vid on this from a while ago now that he said it's much more laggy than just a temple setup. Good stuff. I feel kinda annoying by always nudging you to join Mackans discord but for once it might actually let you make a video lol

on the new map ancient portal the peddestools give heroes buffs, and geraldo shop items take both geraldo's buffs as well as their own buffs, so in singleplayer with 4 geraldo's you could get all the buffs on the items. won't help for this but it is pretty cool

zero problem with using mods for quality of life uses. the time commitment, at least until the end of your honeymoon, is just not worth playing legit imo. as long as the runs are always unmistakenly labeled as modded. you can always go for legit runs using modded playthrough knowledge afterwards anyways.

If it's co-op then Brickel + Adora + Ezeli + (Any other buff / utility hero like Geraldo [probably the best overall but requires a small amount of micro to give camo pots, sharp stones, etc...], Striker, or Obyn) with 4 max buffed TSGs on the water (also boat and sub paragon are nice to have and easy on water maps) is significantly strong and easier to pull off than filling the map with sun avatars... Obviously you aren't really in coop mode, but there has to be a mod for uncapped t5s...

both surprised and not surprised at this, not surprised because it is a tiny size reduction so even if you did get every dart on the map and replaced the overclocks with more towers much like the ninja strat it'd only be like 10-15 extra at most. kinda surprising despite that because savatars are usually pretty damn strong at base to a point they're stronger than their teir 4 with even middling sacrifices shown in temple 2 megapops. just really shows how powerful sacrifices are and why ninjas didn't wind up that strong in the end. we were comparing the wrong towers, savatars just also benefit from blood sacrifice so they were the no brainer space filler.

In case you plan to do this with vanilla co-op, you probably don't even need to buy multiple copies of the game. Idk if Steam allows you to sign in on multiple devices and/or play more than one instance of the game at once, but mobile should allow you to easily if you get temporary access to a few Android devices, or use the Bluestacks emulator, at which point you just make 3 extra NK accounts for the additional instances of the game and have them join each-other. Then once all 4 heroes are down, you can just disconnect with the other devices if you want. But, that only matters if you or anyone else is dissatisfied with doing it using mods

If you get corves, his hunting make bloons take 2 more damage from plasma/ energy damage type, and because the sun avatars have plasma damage type it can the fort BADs take more damage if you put corves on strong

Co-op freeply is such an interesting concept for me, because now not only does your computer need to handle it, but the same applies for the other 3 players. At least this makes choosing heroes for freeplay much easier, afterall a single Geraldo is the only thing you need for the shop and Adora buffs don't stack, so there's no point in having multiple of them

Brickell is basically mandatory if you are trying for real later game using TSGs because if they are on the water (possible using ice monkey) then it's another 200% attack speed. Crazy strong when you have 4 TSGs. Ezeli is probably the best 4th hero.

This would have done better without overclocking the supers. Dart plus engi takes up 2.77 times as much space and only does 1.67 times dps versus plain dart, thats almost 2 times better if you hadn't used overclocks. You need to remember that BTD6 is a 2d game so 6 to 8 is actually 36 to 64.

dont you need max sacrifices for sun temple and TSG (along with Anti bloon and legend of the night out of range) to get VTSG? so getting a support VTSG wouldn't be possible.

Temple only takes the 3 categories with the most money sacrificed, usually for vtsg you build primary/military/magic on the temple and then all 4 categories for tsg upgrade. Instead here he got support as one of the temple categories
