This is the reason why sometimes I make mass towers in my base... 80% of my 4v4 RT games, even my towers are better allies than my entire team ! Highlight: When the two top people led an offensive and Wtii's base was being destroyed and then 2 minutes later the top got attacked and he pinged indignantly lots of times for help. 😂

It's what I think is an inherent problem with RTS team games. The best player on each team is effectively punished, because they, for all intents and purposes, have to carry the weakest player on the team, and if you have multiple weak teammates, it's even worse. The only time team games are remotely good is if nobody loses ranking, so who cares what happens so long as you have fun, but if you do, it's only good when all team members are equally good, and I think the best metric isn't MMR, it's win/loss ratios coupled with your average match statistics. Players who often have 30 minute games where they have 3 level 5 heroes are going to be better than players who go 30 minutes, with 1 level 10. I think there Could be a good situation involving weak teammates in a ranked 4v4, is if the weaker players are highly active in coordinating with their teammates. It's kind of why when I play SC2 team games and I know I'm weaker than the others, all I do is make support units and effectively have them follow my ally's army. I usually play Terran as a result of that. I'm not sure if that'd be terribly viable here when healers are locked behind a keep+.
