Congrats man! I'd love to see a comparison of the capture function with other capture units. Particularly the Tonex.

Thanks so much. Comparison videos are a guarantee !!!

Great video, Dan! I'd say the QC and the Helix top my list for modelers i'd consider in my arsenal. I still might glue on some old burned out tubes to them to make me feel a little better haha!

I've been waiting for you to get a QC. Make Captures of your JCM900 and you will be blown away at how exact they sound and feel. Feel is the big thing. Also, use the QC in 4 Cable Method with your favorite amp head, and throw in a Capture here and there for variation of tone. You're going to realize that Modeling is Dead. Capture or Die!! Go Dan!!
@LonelyRockerАй бұрын
Nice! I will definitely do a 900 video as well as exploring different routing methods. Stay tuned!

Really like my QC. The hard lesson I learned is that the amp models are better for me than just captures. The models are way more functional. I do however like using it for my vocals and acoustic (with IRs blended in). It does a lot really well!
@LonelyRockerАй бұрын
Awesome. That shows it is a flexible device. Glad you found your use for it.

@@LonelyRocker It is surprisingly good as an interface and works great as a vocal processor on solo acoustic gigs. Looking forward to your take on it soon.

Awesome, congratulations in getting together with Sweetwater. You are going to love this unit. I was a former helix and fractal user as well and the transition was seamless. Looking forward to your future content with it.

Thanks so much! Glad to be on board with the QC. I still have my other devices so lots of potential for so much content. And dedicated ones too 😎

Lonely Rocker, You have me interested and I will gladly use your affiliate link… But could you please help me understand how this 1600+ dollar unit differs as far as sound quality then say my $200 boss GT one? I also have other modelers from Line 6, NUx, and Fender Mustang Amp. I play alone, using usually 1 amp, sometimes two. I have plenty great guitars. Would buying this one at $1600 be overkill?
@LonelyRockerАй бұрын
Thanks so much! If you have watched my channel for any length of time you would have often heard me say “what’s best for you”. My feeling in this digital age is companies can charge as much as the market will bear. The thing I can say about Boss as I have extensive experience with some of their devices is they withhold functionality on their cheaper devices. So less amps. Less effects and less customization. On the QC, Fractal and Helix that I have is they all offer the most features with extensive customization and physical signal routing. If you don’t need all of those things then yes it’s overkill unless you really want to experience everything modeling has to offer and you have the budget. But you can surely rock out with the budget units too. I have a few year and they are fun and easier to use. I’ll likely talk about this on the channel but I hope this helps you.

No one gets a trophy for the best tone or most money spent. There are plenty of ways to get great tones without spending lots of money. Mostly what you are buying is the user experience IMO.
