⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Objective Viewpoint: The crux of the matter is that the boosters are still paying off $19 million dollars for the previous HC. And now the incumbent HC has a $70 million dollar buyout under the terms of the contract. HIGHLY unlikely that the boosters have the financial wherewithal or appetite to front this type of funding. When will AD’s stop the insanity of offering 10-year guaranteed $100 million pay packages WITHOUT inserting compensation clawback provisions for performance that doesn’t meet expectations???

Let me clarify something.. this is 2024 the reality is LSU either makes the playoffs or not. "polls" and ""Bowls" at one time might have meant something but they are now irrelevant vestigial relics of the past. The past two were games were not just losses but were cataclysmic undeniable exposure of LSU as a second rate program. College football is going to evolve into a first division and everyone else. LSU is really stuck with not having the resources to compete.

BK is an administrator that puts all the right people in the right positions. That said whenever there is a change in that system, being players or coaches he falls on his face. He is such a narcissist that nothing is his fault ( throwing players under the bus) because he believes that he made all the right calls. He is a better than average coach that will win you ten or so games a year. But that isn’t quite good enough these days especially if you want to win a Natty! LSU needs a leader of men on the field not an administrator!
@Thibs1082Күн бұрын
If we keep the 25/26 classes together and bring in some solid DBs BK might have a chance to make a playoff run. But he's got to get a competent OC immediately. Sloan can stay as QB coach but this shit isn't working.

Kelly's mantra (when not throwing his players under the bus) is "we need to coach better". Well, what are we paying you $10 million a year for? Haven't you learned to "coach better" by now? He should have stayed at ND; soft schedule, consistently over-rated.

I’m an LSU alum and been obsessively following LSU football for 40 years. It’s patently obvious Brian Kelly will never win anything of substance at LSU. Every year his teams have massive deficiencies that he should have fixed in the offseason, and it doesn’t happen. We are flat out done. He’s apparently not a very hard worker. His attitude is one of entitlement. We don’t like the way he curses out his players on national TV, and frankly are sick of being embarrassed on same. It’s quite a shame we’re stuck with him at least through 2025-hopefully no longer
@unclejj13er75Күн бұрын
Maybe not the beginning of the end. But the rope just got shorter. He's got a couple more guaranteed years at least, prolly three. But the room for error is nil. They're either in the playoffs in two years or there won't be people in the stands. And that will push the program to find somebody. The contract gives him time, but without some big W's, it's going to get short fast.
@ivansalazar544820 сағат бұрын
Well, if there is any consolation, the likes of Lincoln Riley, Mike Norvel, Matt Rhule, Billy Napier and other big time failures at coaching, are doing much worse than BK. LSU cannot afford to fire Kelly. The price tag for going that way is close to 67 million devalued US dollars, right at the end of this season.

So, you're saying Nick Saban was trash considering BK will finish with a better three-year record?? Those naughty Irish still grinding their teeth. College Football at Saturday Glory, just say no.

Nick Saban was taking over a team that hadn't won a Natty in 40 years. BK took over a team that won a Natty like 2 years before he got there. Nick Saban also didn't say he was taking LSU job because it was "easier to win there" than Michigan State. BK statement, regardless of how much it pissed off ND fans, is a big red flag because it's a built in excuse.

The man has the LOSER gene in him. Coaches fall into two categories. Those that have the "IT" factor and those who do not. Kelly DOES NOT. Shame on LSU for hiring the guy knowing this. I have hated this guy from the day he lied to the Cinn kids when he bolted for ND. Then he did the same at ND. Now he will get fired. Get this man out of coaching.
