When Sonny interviews his guests, he listens to them and really cares about what they have to say. Go to 27:00, he was talking about "bridging the gap..." and you totally ignored him, and instead, talked to stranger. Then he talked about what his generation values, and instead of listening, you joked. Then he really tried to tell you what he values, which is "customer service," and you totally ignored him, fixated on something you dropped. Try to be a better listener. Don't have someone on your show and constantly cut him off. Was hard to watch. So I stopped after you dropped the cilantro.

You are absolutely right it is not how much you put in but the ingredients you use. Fresh is best. I use to have oxtail soup when I was kid but it was made like a beef veggie soup. I like using beef shank to make Filipino Bulalo it give nice flavor and you get more meat then with oxtail. That Pho looks very good. I like how that veggie dish looks. I don't know much about tofu or what to do with it. My favorite Korean place she makes a really good tofu soup so I think I need to check online what I can do with it and try to make something with it. I think Banh Mi is my favorite Vietnamese food. There is a small Vietnamese shop about 4 blocks from my house that makes awesome Banh Mi. I always get bbq pork a bit spicy and no cilantro and they make it perfect every time and the bun is so awesome. I get 2 for $8. I think if the place can get thru the pandemic and still be going strong he is doing something right. A very smart young man who is going to do very well and I wish him all the best.

Great video. This makes me want to try a pho place nearby I was hesitant about. $18 for pho oxtail shank and bone marrow. Ingredient wise, makes sense but just really hard to justify from a consumer prospective.

I remember when pho was 6.95 in the states. It's 3.52 at our normal spot in saigon but then again minimum wage in the states is $15 and minimum wage in VN is $0.66. I dont blame the business owners or the distributors, everyone has costs involved to operate a business. $18 oxtail pho is just what we need to pay for if we want quality ingredients. I've been researching the Beef Pho with Ox Tail, and honestly 18 dollars for it is VERY reasonable. Ox Tail is stupid expensive. It used to be a cheap meat much like cow tongue and lobster before everyone realized its amazing. Maybe it's expensive because it's a relatively small part of the Ox? Anyways 18 dollars seems more then fair.

It's definitely isn't the $4 im used to paying for a good bowl of pho in VN however this isn't vn and no one is comparing the 2 😍 Granted $18 for a meal seems high, minimum wage here us $15 and hr and minimum wage in VN is $0.66 and hr so my $4 bowl must seem extremely expensive in VN yet the place is packed full of locals daily. To be honest, I didn't care for the pho here or most the food here because it doesn't feel authentic and kind of like the Panda Express of Vietnamese food. (that's not really a bad thing). The dark broth are delicious and has been a staple! The lighter clarity broth I usually find to be more like chicken broth. The food at this place was not bad, but it does feel kind of gentrified and catered to western taste buds. (did you try Ramen Nagi next door? It's FKN deliciousness!) Also you were in my area! Did I miss you?

Bummer you didn't like it. Everyone has different taste buds and i can respect that. Pho is Vietnam is very clear and not spiced as much as it is in the west. Maybe that's why it fit my tastebuds. Im glad you gave it a try at least. I think it's always a blessing to try different people's food in life. I was in the bay area for 5 weeks filming, now im up in Minnesota filming my next chapter of videos. I didnt get a chance to try ramen nagi, ill add it onto the list of places to try next time im in the bay area. Thanks for the recommendation!!!

I’m sorry to say but Vietnamese food in all of the United States, does not matter what state you’re in cannot compare to Vietnam. The basic PHO on the street side in Vietnam is 10 times better than the most gourmet lavish elevated PHO here in the US. If you disagree you most likely never had good PHO in your life ever. REALLY!
