Is this THE BEST facet in the game? Purge Clockwerk

The Expanded Armature facet makes Clockwerk so much smoother and fun to play. They should make it base kit, nerf the cogs damage/mana drain and make another facet.

Gotta start with cogs when you’re playing with SF, he can build up free souls in the fountain that way

I've definitely come around on it. When I first read it in the patch notes and tested it in demo, I thought it was garbage. Battery assault doesn't reach all the way and you're likely to trap more creeps, so less dmg. Enemies can simply walk out of cogs (I did it a few times with Bane in demo, not consistent). The cog-shooting (not facet-related) can be rough to get a good angle on. But as I played it, all the issues went away. You get WAY more catch. It's ridiculous from how far away you can snag people, it's almost like Tele in terms of repositioning enemies. You can just walk out of bad cogs with some shield and smack cogs into your pursuer. You get good access to multiple cogs in case your bud gets gone on and you're too far away. Just plop'em down, aim at the multi-shotting drow and your offlaner gets to walk free. You can even snipe clarities or salves and the early mana burn is really nice in support trades. Honestly glad I was so wrong about the facet. Just kinda wish his innate was a bit more impactful, but Clock's even more fun now.

Why does purge use cogs to spot hill wards rather than rocket flare?

bro stop using cogs for dewarding, rocket flare is longer range so faster if there is no ward and you might need cogs for defence especially the buffed one from facet. also lower mana

A passive you pick at hero select that changes how an ability or the hero works as a whole. Every hero has at least 2. So clock can either have cogs in a wider area or when he hits an ally with his ult it stuns in a bigger aoe. Or Rubick can lower the mana cost of stolen spells or get a temporary buff that increases spell aoe after casting a different spell
