I just went up this last weekend with my friends and Sector 12 and Tadpole we're probably our favorites. Plenty of jumps to hit and the flow felt really good for the most part. I visited Giants because I watched your video a few months back

No problem, always fun to share with you all to enjoy! Everything is rollable and you don't need to be going a 100mph to have a good time on this trail!

Was going to comment that this looked like footage of someone ripping A-Line in Whistler, but someone else already did. Great riding and great work by Ridin' Dirt and Pathfinder Trails building this! I really need to make the trip up to Giant's Ridge for the first time before they close for the season

Just makes me want to pick up a full suspension rig again! I'm guessing most of those runs would be pretty rough on a hardtail?
@MinnesotaMTB_
@MinnesotaMTB_ 3 жыл бұрын
I would say Sector 12, Featherlys, Techonite and the new jumpline are absolutely doable on a hardtail🤘 Might be a bit rougher of a ride but hey sometimes thats more fun!

The new Jump trail looks rad! Going to have to get back up here to check out the new works! How would you say this trail compares to Sinter (Cuyuna) size wise?
@MinnesotaMTB_
@MinnesotaMTB_ 3 жыл бұрын
There is some similarities with the size in jumps. Sinter I had some trouble keeping up speed towards the bottom section of trail and clearing jumps (could be me). BUT this new trail blows it out of the water and the tables are a bit longer in length I believe!

Mnt biking has come a long way with these downhill rolling jump trails and with "Thru axles". I wouldn't feel safe going down this with my older my quick release axel bikes. Are there any old school slower riders just rolling down this vs jumping everything? Or do they get run over LOL? Looks like a full face helmet might be wise too. Oh he//, Ill just bring my moto gear so I dont die.
@MinnesotaMTB_
@MinnesotaMTB_ 2 жыл бұрын
It sure has! Everything on this trail is rollable and I wouldn't worry about getting run over by faster riders and most people are respectful on the trail. A full face is a nice safety blanket and that moto gear wouldn't hurt either!

Sweet vid, but I gotta say - If this is the best jump line in the midwest, why are there jumps that a skilled rider is passing in the beginning? (that is not a knock against you) This trail is sweet and exciting, but I still have some constructive criticism for Pathfinder. Rode it last weekend. A lot of it is very impressive and fun, but I still have to say there is a little ways to go on the approach with some of these jumps. They're still MN-style jumps with super dippy landings, discouraging progression. Because they launch you so much further than jumps on say, Leapfrog, you don't have a place to start to connect the distance you'll get and easily clear the gap on these tables. The landings should be more forgiving, at least at the start/mid sections of the trail. Riding out east on Gravity Logic's (Whistler builders) trails at Thunder mtn - they made jumps that were much larger than these yet more approachable from the start, progressing as the rider goes down the trail. You can start by landing wherever you want, and understanding how it feels to be in the air. This is what I think a perfect blue jump line should achieve. This is more of a black trail for Giant's, and it's pretty great! I'm super excited this kind of stuff is available here, just trying to be critical in how our trails can keep getting better! :) Awesome video as always!
@DailyNeighborhoodRide
@DailyNeighborhoodRide 2 жыл бұрын
I agree to many trails in MN, seem to not have much room for one to progress. They're either to easy or all in and crazy. Sketchy approaches and bad landings. P.S. I'm old and grumpy...:) Ride On \m/
@IamSeafarer
@IamSeafarer 2 жыл бұрын
@@DailyNeighborhoodRide Yeah man, MN seems to have the beginner and expert stuff figured out to a tee. We need progression now. Spirit MTN is still full of gnar you can spend years progressing through. After 4 years riding both coasts and many spots in the rockies, Spirit scares me almost more than anywhere else. That's actually so awesome we have that kind of place, but I must say the mid-level is lacking, and overall the progression offerings are still needing growth in the communities here!
