The Peddler Steakhouse is a tradition for many visitors that travel to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Their visit to the Smokies would not be complete without getting a custom cut steak from the Peddler. The Peddler is known for steaks, a fresh salad bar, decadent desserts, and beautiful views of the Little Pigeon River. But does it have the best steak in Gatlinburg? LOVED this review! We laughed when David mentioned my name when eating the smoked oyster, and said "This is for you, Derrick". I'm glad he enjoyed it. I could barely swallow mine. Had to wash it down. Also, loved Carly saying that it was almost a crime to mess up the cake. By the way, you all had the exact same table we had when we were there in November.

So glad you enjoyed the review. I had to mention Derrick because he was the reason, I tried the smoked oysters. I would get them again the next time we go back. That is so cool that we had the same table as you two. I laughed at Carly to when she said that about the cake. We had a great experience and I enjoyed that prime rib. I could live off that salad bar. The same people own the Peddler and the Park Grille and both have amazing salad bars. All of your food looked delicious and that dessert, oh my! That is a good deal for kids. Another great review.

So good! We have not been to Park Grille but were aware that the same people owned both. The dessert was a delicious masterpiece for sure. The deal for kids is unbelievable. Especially if you have a younger kid it could be just a few dollars. I use to think it was a bit pricey to eat here but when you look at some of the prices of steaks on other menus and compare it is not as pricey as I thought. Appreciate your so much! YUM YUM!! Food looked absolutely delicious. And that salad bar was fantastic. After visiting the salad bar, don’t see how any of you had room for dinner. And dessert too? Glad you enjoyed the review. You could definitely make a meal off of the salad bar. Everything was fresh and delicious on the salad bar. We all enjoyed our the salad bar, meals, and dessert. We probably would not have gotten the dessert if we were not doing the review of the restaurant. But it was amazing. Hope you can get there and try it out for yourself.

It's a great restaurant. We were full but just had to try that cake. The food is delicious and the service is first class. If you go make sure to get a river view seat. It really adds to the experience. The prime rib David had was one of David's favorite he has ever had. Believe me he has had quite a few prime rib and ribeye steaks. The shrimp were amazing! Like the one I went to near Myrtle Beach, very much a couples/family place. But, everything on the menu is excellent. Carly was right about the cake. Almost a crime to eat it. But, sometimes sacrifices have to be made! Great video! God Bless!

You do a great job with your dining reviews. I really like your channel! I lived nearby in Pigeon Forge for a short time and our favorite steak house was Alamo Steakhouse but we never tried this one. There are some great restaurants in the area and we were fortunate enough to eat at many of them. The Old Mill is one of our favorites in the area. We miss living up there but we get to visit regularly since we’re only a short drive away in the Myrtle Beach area.

We enjoy eating at the Alamo too. The Peddler and Cherokee Grill are two steakhouses in Gatlinburg that we enjoy. Have you ever been to the Pottery Mill across from The Old Mill? We like there too. So many good restaurants in the Pigeon Forge ar3ea. Myrtle Beach has some nice restaurants too. We went to MB over spring break and enjoyed it. We are debating going there this weekend. When you go on cruises which cruise port do you typically go out of?

@@vafunseekers we’ve never tried the Pottery Mill but remember it being there. I also love Smoky Mountain Brewery (my wife is not a fan of it, LOL) and always have to stop there when we visit that area. They have great wings and pizza as well as brew an awesome beer. There is a lot of good restaurants in the Myrtle area. For a good steak, Chuck’s Steakhouse is a good one and if you’re into seafood the Sea Captains House is one of the best in the area. We cruise mostly out of Florida but have sailed out of Charleston and have one booked sailing out of New Orleans next year. I like Port Canaveral and Tampa the best!

I actually have Chuck's Steakhouse on my list already. So I'm thinking that must be really good. The Sunshine is moving to Norfolk, VA soon. Which, I'm sure you probably already know. lol

You can not go wrong with The Peddler. All the food we have ever had has been delicious! The surprise for this trip was how amazing the Prime Rib and shrimp was. Both were some of the best we have had. The baked potatoes and salad bar are outstanding. Make sure to get you a window seat so you can see the river while eating. We are certain you will enjoy this place! In our opinion it is one of the best salad bars we have seen in the Smokies.

Love this one too - Love the Peddler their and love the Peddler in Boon - North Carolina - all owned by the same owner - They used to have one at Myrtle Beach - all owned by same owner - not sure if the beach one is still open - Never had a bad meal their

The one near Myrtle Beach is gone. IIRC, it was in Murrell's Inlet, just south of the city. Was really nice. My ex-wife and I went there once. After you ordered your steak, they would bring out samples for you to select. Very classy.

First of all, thank you for being a long time subscriber and viewer. That really has made our night! We have always had a love for traveling, especially to the Smoky Mountains. I am a teacher and David is a police officer. So we definitely have to budget to travel. However we do have the time constraints of when we can travel due to me teaching and Carly being in school. The Peddler is an amazing restaurant. The food, ambiance, and service is outstanding. We enjoyed our experience here. We will have more videos coming out from our trip to the Smokies. @@amber_stinnett You will not believe it but that is one of the many places on our "to go to" list. We will definitely make sure to do a review from there. It has been a long time since we have been there as a family. However, David has been there some while working/or work related. Have you been to MJ's in Bedford yet? We have not but have been requested to do so. Just curious what you thought if you had been there. We had another subscriber to request for us to go to Neighbor's Place and do a review. That review will come out on Wednesday. The funny thing about that is we actually go there quite often. It's one of Carly's favorite places but we had never done a review on it.

This is definitely not cheap. We did get a dessert and a soup which was additional. This is a place to go for special occasions for sure! We enjoy going here but do not go here every time we go to Tennessee. We do recommend trying it. It's delicious!
