The vidar also has gen 3 thermals which makes target acquisition easier. Warthunder puts ergonomic vehicles at higher brs because more people can use it well

Vicar is the ultimate noob baiting vehicle, gaijin always does this, release an op vehicle to attract noob, then nerf it to hell after they got the money, I can see Vicar getmoved to 8.3 or even 8.7, it has gen2 thermal, auto spotting for new player, it have laser range finder, which with the prss of one button and half a sec, it auto aim for you, and a 155mm HE shell that one shot anything that it lands on, which it will, with the laser range finder , even at 8.0, only a few tanks have laser rangefinder not to mention thermals, imagine a tiger 2 or m46 get one shotted 1500m away by a vidar that's hiding in a bush that spot you from spawn, HAVE I TOLD HOW MUCH I HATE VIDAR? HAVE I?

A pretty efficient way of giving players ability to be artillery is giving them very close and effective numbers( distance of enemy and their location on radar) and making the player make calculations to fire. Or just give them the uav and allow them to mark and fire by themselves like se players have been doing.

This thing is easily my favorite vehicle added this update. The most important thing to learn is positioning and where to put an HE round to kill everything, just like the Type 75, which I also love. This thing is fun even at top tier.

Players not accustomed to using the proxy might use the vidar better for AA purposes but those that are used to it will probably do well with the type 99. especially since Japan was the first to use the 155mm proxy fuse in the type 75 sph, which has a really slow velocity. Users of the old begleitpanzer, back when it was at 8.3 might also be able to use the type 99's proxy fuse well since the muzzle velocity is nearly the same. Kinda hard to see the type 99 going into a higher br. The auf1 is also an autoloading spg but its still at 7.0. The Vidar also has thermals, so thermals plus LRF warranted its BR increase only to 8.0 from 7.7. I guess the type 99 might be moved to 7.3, maybe 7.7 if the japanese players master it immediately and start killing everything. I do hope it sits at 7.0. more chances of seeing props. Would love to clip the wings of a lot of planes.

Vidar has rounds that go 1000m/s gen 3 thermals and laser range finder. I love playing against the Vidar 😊

Why move it up? It's big, slow, no gun depression, no armor, and you still need to hit certain parts. Frontal Armor or even often the sides will eat your shells. There are plenty of tanks which are better at every aspect and lower br. than 7.0.

"It's like a sports car, but a tank" So........ a sports.... tank?? I think you may have just invented a new genre of motor sports that I am absolutely here for Panzer! Full contact tank racing. You can use the MGs, but firing the main gun is banned! Plus, planes that shoot down other planes, could be fighter or interceptor as the type of aircraft, fighters generally are aimed more at the actual fight, they're optimized to beat any other aircraft they may come up against, while an interceptor is optimized more for speed and climb rate, the interceptor mentality is that it doesn't matter weather you can win if you can't catch them. But I think the word you were looking for in terms of the role is CAP, or combat air patrol, i.e. patrolling the combat area from the air and attacking any hostile aircraft you meet.

the vidar is 8,7 now..cause the rangefinder and the fast shell that is 1000m/s .and the NVD.. that means you get on his target before you even get in game. in most of the maps! on the other hand.. the M109 has no rangefinder and 570-640m/s shell (it depends if you have the G or the A1 ) the type 99 is close to 109 and close to vidar.. so i think the most will see is maybe 7,3 or 7.7 .. it has fast rangefinder

As long as Gajin continues to use so many CQC maps, artillery vehicles won't really work. Even ww2 artillery would be able to bomb enemy airfield.
