Inherited an HK94 from my cuz a few years ago (Christmas present from his bride in 1986.... they ran for about $450)~favorite pistol ammo carbine!!!!.... Decided not to SBR it (I figured the FBI would kick in my front door and confiscate it some day).... Just as fun in semi-auto with long barrel..... While at local FFL a couple months ago to pick up an inexpensive .22lr rifle to add to my .22 collection, there, on the wall next to me wuz an HK SP5K calling my name ..... Tried to ignore it to no avail..... Handled it for a few minutes, then walked out the door $3K poorer after NIC, BUT with a broad grin.... It's now my favorite "pistol-carbine" (?)..... Already had many mags and only had to add a few "upgrades".... When first on the market, I think they ran about $2,700, but goin' for about $3K now.....Well worth it...... Am retired, not married so let the fun begin.... Life became 'gooder' ;o)

The best home defense gun is the one you can afford to buy and practice with at least monthly. It is the gun you can hit with reliably on a center mass target at distances comparable to your home. For most people the MP5 is entirely out of reach just on dollars and cents. For some, a Hi-Point is perfect for the same reason.

I've got an idea for your next video: what's the best gun to defend yourself against FPV drones ? This question has become a hot topic since the war in Ukraine. It seems that troops are not equipped with appropriate weapons to shoot at drones or falling bombs. It would be interesting to test this by asking a friend to try to approach you with a drone while you try to shoot it down before it gets too close. It would be interesting to see which weapon is better and how difficult it is to destroy small drones.

Can you tell I fell in love with it? And I'm not a collector or anything - but my gosh, if you appreciate nothing else about this firearm you have to appreciate its engineering! Yah gotta hand it to those Germans - with Octoberfest, Christkindlmarkt, Rammstein, and the MP5 they really have it all!

the first time i ever shot a gun, it was a .45 pistol and it was so difficult to hit anything. then i tried an mp5 and it was so easy. with a 30 round mag i think it's probably the best home defense gun for anyone who isn't a very experienced shooter. though i have never shot a kriss vector and i imagine that would be really good too. an 8-shot .357 revolver is also good because it's really simple to operate.

The unintentional mag dump is why I always thought the Army's 3 round burst select fire was a good idea.
