They should have learned how to dowse for opals. Read the book The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition to learn how to dowse for the most concentrated opal pockets. Not better luck next time rather better learn next time.

@@michaelfercik3691 Oh yeah, sure. Because if dowsing worked, everyone would have done it and would still be doing it. I've seen several dowsers getting paid big dollars to find gold and water. The only time they were successful was when they were where the geology already told us that the gold was there. We already knew the water was there but we wanted something a lot more specific than these clowns at different times were claiming. And, in fact, it was one of the spouses of our crew that had any *luck when she said, "gizza-go". They found a fully formed prickly on one side, smooth on the other gold nugget of around 3 grams. Directly where the paid dowser had already wandered over.
