Is This the END of Physical Media LG Discontinues Blu ray Players?

Thanks for the comment. I mainly got my lg home cinema system for the sound. It has 2 tall boy speakers, centre, 2 rears and a sub. I really wanted more than just a sound bar and subwoofer for the living room. What would have been your suggestion?

@@iainirvine LG is a solid choice. If necessary, you could integrate a player of another brand to work with your current LG home cinema. HDMI CEC allows them to recognize each other with some occasional minor hiccups.

I never leave the house, EVER! For ANY reason. Not going back out there. Meeting people is a bad idea. I do enjoy my squirrels though, and my cats. Not sure what I'll do if internet goes down or amazon stops coming. Sony also makes players, so there's still hope.

You are totally right the unknown is out there; don’t know if it’s possible to handle it anymore. All the best with the squirrels and cats, those are whole new kettle of fish lol. Regards the internet sometimes mine can be a bit spotty, really have to call my provider. I’ve searched the web a bit more “Sony plans to eventually stop producing recordable BD-R discs meant for consumers, but commercial-grade Blu-ray movie and game discs aren't affected.” So I guess we are safe for a while. How long, who knows 🤪
