Hey Libby! I have some problem solvers for you to mull over. They are SUGGESTIONS. Don’t fuss yourself about them if you don't like. First, with one swift move you can solve 3 problems. 🛋Move your lovely multi functional couch forward about 8 inches. This will solve 3 problems. 1) You will be able to store the collapsed kennel behind the couch. (Wrap it in an old blanket first so that you do not damage the wall when removing. 🐕 2) You will be able to TEMPORARILY put your tall lamp in the corner. 🛋 3) The front legs of the couch will be able to sit on the rug thus allowing for pull out bed feature and helping to keep rug in place while vacuuming. ( I think rugs are tripping hazards but that’s just me. ) ALTERNATIVELY: Another idea is to pull out the sofa further like the exact width of the kennel when set up. 20 - 24 Inches? Then slide the set up kennel in place behind the couch with the opening door facing the computer and windows. If you do this option, then you’ll have to move your display tower over to the other side of the computer, or to the bedroom, or out the door. 😁Heh heh (Ya, okay, I have zero attachment to your furniture so I can be ruthless like that.) When it is moved, you can easily access the kennel door. The DRAWBACK to these suggestions is that the couch will be closer to the TV and eat up 8 to 20 inches of living space. 🔘🔘Now here is an extra bonus woman tip. You can buy Furniture Sliders for even heavy furniture. 🔳🔳🔳🔳They are basically plastic discs that you put under each foot of each piece of furniture allowing you to slide furniture with ease on CARPET. You can get little ones for your computer legs, or big ones for your couch. You can get them at hardware, dollar stores, t emu or pretty much any where at a reasonable/low price. Worth every penny. Getting each slider under each leg is the hard part, but I’ve seen you slinging mattresses around. You got this!! 🏋‍♀ This has been a life/back saver for me. I’m sorry about the neighbor situation. I have two weed smoking neighbors on either side and their smoke kept getting into my place and triggering my cat’s asthma and my migraines. I have two of those filters running constantly and it has helped. Get the toxin filters. You can go off brand for the replacements. They work just as well. ❤

Sorry to hear about your cyst. I spent years living with an orange-sized fibroid, several smaller fibroids, and a cyst. Like you, the pain was off and on. I had sciatic pain for years and didn't realize the fibroid was the culprit. I finally found a doctor willing to treat me. I had a hysterectomy yesterday(!) and am so glad to know the pain is almost over.

I had the same issues with a cyst and pain. Turned out to be endometriosis. I had issues with fainting from the pain. Had a hysterectomy and it totally changed my life. I wish I would have been offered one much sooner.

Reminds me of the half year we had really heavy smoke scent of the downstairs neighbour in our toilet (connected vents). Couldn’t leave the door open or it would stink up the whole apartment, and also couldn’t go to the toilet with the door closed. Took some heavy complaining but it helped luckily. Hopefully it will be resolved for you soon!

I had to buy 2 air purifiers because a new neighbors moved in and they smoke weed. It was coming into my place through the bathroom vents and giving me bad headaches. They definately helped. There is nothing I can do because it's legal here and it's not a non smoking building. I own my condo and have no plans of moving anytime soon. I'm pretty sure the new people rent so hopefully they move at the end of their lease.

If they rent it might be in the lease no smoking inside. I know if I owned a condo I rented out I'd have that in the lease! Even if the rest of the condos allowed it and whatnot. Check with whomever you need to to find out I hope you're able to get them to stop since it's affecting you.

So for the boxes, I usually keep the biggest one open, then I break down the others and stuff them into the big one, takes up a lot less space, I like the living room layout, only thing I’d try is maybe caddy cornering the desk just to see if ya like it, otherwise leave it, and the carpet, since you said the bed gets stuck trying to pull it out, how bout putting the carpet actually under the couch a bit so the bed part is already on the carpet then it should slide right out. the whole 15 inch thing w air purifier, ehh, I have mine on a desk against the wall, lol. And omg I love your sisters pup, what a cutie… kilos adorable too, I’ve got a jack Russell mixed w red heeler… sorry bout your neighbors, it always sucks when you get stuck with shitty neighbors. Years ago in my very early 30’s, I developed terrible pain and cramping when i was due to start my period, but no period. Dr did an ultrasound and determined I had a 5 cm ovarian cyst. She put me on birth control pills and on a follow up ultrasound one month later it had shrunk 4 cm. I continued taking another month or two and it completely went away. Not sure if they still use that as a treatment, but it sure worked for me. Good luck to you, I know how painful it can be.

I think you should move the tall shelf right next to the arm of the couch, and then relocate the items on the shelf level at the couch height. Then you could use that shelf as a quasi end table to set your drink on or whatever without having to purchase something more.

Looking good! Making it a home. I used boxes n bowls of baking soda in my first apartment because of smells too. I would pout it into pretty bowls because I was serious about my scents at home.careful with cheap oils cause they have fillers that are not so healthy. I also put greens and oranges n vanilla in my small slow cooker for a delicious aroma. There are tons of recipes online for them. Keep on keeping on. You’ve got this.

The shelf is fine where it is for now, even though it does stick out a bit. Lots of people move furniture to slightly less than optimal spots temporarily when they decorate their house. Once the holidays are over, you might consider moving it over to where you're planning to put your tree, as there will be wall space there then.

If you stop viewing the tall shelves as a “plant stand”, you can tuck it away in the corner to the right of the door and it won’t be “looming” at all. Since you’re replacing the shelves under the television,could the current one go next to the chaise side of your sofa as an end table for a lamp,drink and the plant? It would be okay if it was a little higher than the arm of the chaise but hopefully not higher than the back of the sofa. (It would also serve as a credenza behind your desk to hold all of your office supplies,like a work nook.) Please humor me and at least measure the height and length for this possibility as I am working on my spatial awareness skills.😖😵‍💫🤣😅😂🤭

This will help. When I move furniture I take all the stuff off of it. Dust .. and put things where they go. This way I clean and organize all at once. Plus I don’t break the furniture by picking it up with all that weight on it. Give this a try.

same with me… For over a decade, I had a pain that I referred to as Cordelia (in reference to when she got impaled from falling through stairs in high school). It felt like a searing pain going from my back through to my right side. At 40 when I decided that I was not gonna have kids, I had the hysterectomy. They confirmed it was Andometriosis, the hidden cousin of endometriosis. Pain-free ever since!

Exactly! It's her little office space which holds her office stuff. Where will she put all that stuff if she has to use her table? I get it's a small space with a shared bedroom with her kiddo. But she wants to have a dedicated office space to be able to zone in on what she's doing. Instead of using the dining table that will have to be cleaned off once it needs to be used for dinner or if the kiddo wants to use it for doing homework. Maybe the kiddo wants to do homework while mom does her editing at her desk. And if he needs help she can easily come help him. If she was all nice and comfy on the couch she'd have to move everything to get up and walk over. Yeah it's not far but still a bit of a trek to get up and move the stuff shes working on and get out of her comfy spot.

I have had a history of kidney stones. Just recently after years and years of not having any problems, pain started in my right kidney. And I definitely know what that pain is from. They did not order an ultrasound however they did order a CT scan with no contrast. That was the way to see if I have any kidney stones.

I used to have mittelschmerz, which is a type of pain that occurs shortly before/around the time of ovulation. It lasted for years, and was only ever on my right side, so roughly every couple of months, as your ovaries tend to alternate (though this isn't an absolute). I had also had a couple of issues with cysts back when I was 19 or 20 but they didn't affect me long term the way the mittelschmerz did.

Personally I would declutter & get rid of the “office” desk. I would place the tv & tall shelf along right side wall of front door entrance when you enter. This wall you could create as your feature wall for your deco. Dining room table where tv is currently, which also can server as a desk, drop off zone etc. Sofa where the windows are so you guys can sit back, relax & enjoy the view. Less is more & remember the most valuable & precious possession you should be holding onto is your son in your arms & your adorable furry baby.

I would have it removed. I had one for years. My doctor would monitor it but it caused me so many years of pain. Finally my doctor said I should have it removed because it can become cancerous. If you are not planning on having anymore children then you need to talk to your doctor and say that you want it removed. I wish you well.
