For those with a good hosting, Preload will be a great option but not so for those using shared hosting I think as it consumes more server resources.

I used pre-load feature in past with wp-rocket, this plugin also offers sitemap-based preloading. But it's paid one and not every client would ready to pay for it. Really thanks for sharing free plugin and it details on how it really helpful in terms of page speed.

you wont see any speed performance changes from gtmetrix and pingdom. I do talk about why in the video, it creates a faster user experience for the visitor

honestly i had the same issue i literally gave up on trying to do it. I hired a dev on Fiverr and that was one less headache for me. my store can't get faster than this 👌 he did taught me a few things and from what i understand caching and preloading is the key of success for speed

it isnt necessary, in fact depending of the situation it may be bad if you overuse your server resources. Its good but u should use it with caution. Idk what speed are u getting but LiteSpeed Server+Cache unless it have a problem or low resources should be fast

Hi Darrel, I see that you've got LiteSpeed Cache Plugin installed on this Wordpress. And LiteSpeed Cache Plugin has "Instant Click" in Cache feature. I think it does the same function as mentioned about Flying pages Plugin. Let me know.

You took the words out of my mouth. Yes, LSCache does have the same option called “Instant Click”, and it does generate extra requests. If you have a heavy coded website like Darrel, this is really useful for user experience. But keep in mind every request can be critical and depends on traffic, your server and how you cache the things.

thats a good question, i dont think it will. You can enable the option for auto-preload pages and that would be ideal on smaller websites but not large ones. Ill ask the dev and get back to you on this

Every plugin has its risk to be hacked, even the paid ones. But Gijo (the developer) is pretty good known in the community for his plugins and he is good as what he do, so he isn´t scamming or anything. It shouldn´t be any more risk than other plugins that everyone use daily

Just because something is free doesn't mean it's riskier. Linux is free but is not hacked nearly as much as Windows, which is a paid operating system. Free does not mean risky or insecure. But as ImLiviD said, every plugin has a risk of being hacked.

Update: so it looks like if you have preload activated in WP Rocket, you need to deactivate it for the “incompatible” error message to go away

Yeah I believe WP rocket recently added this. But it is a bit restricted compared to flying pages. For example the default low time to start loading is 100 MS and with flying pages it’s 0ms. You can also choose to auto load the website itself(no hover) for smaller websites which wp rocket doesn’t offer. there is a bit more flexibility with this product but you can also just keep using WP rocket as well as it also offers this feature

wp-rocket has built-in feature of preload and sitemap-preloading. I would recommend use sitemap-preloading and plugin will auto detect the sitemap.
