Love this tune (Aebersold #108 has a killer backing track). I tend not to use the tonal pents on the A-/C-, but since the melody emphasizes F# & A, the D^ and F^ pents (or just the D/F triads) include those and sound great. As do the E- and G- pents, no 6/13s but still a cool sound. It's so flexible it seems you can play almost anything, love it.

Great lesson, Shawn. Thanks! Being a tenor player, I'm used to reading treble clef, so the new handout really helps. (The old lessons where great for ear training, though 😄)
