There's a LOT that couldn't be covered in this video, a lot that had to be cut, and it STILL ended up being super long. So, if you have any questions on anything that isn't covered super deeply, feel free to ask. I'll make sure to provide whatever additional answers I can. I'm dedicated to telling cool stories in whatever unusual corners I may happen to find them. I'm definitely not a MK11 content creator by any means, but I thought this story was too cool not to tell. If you know of any cool secret stories squirreled away in some weird or unexpected place, let me know and I'll dig into it!

Hello Guys, thanks for the great words and especially big thanks to XDeej for the video! Glad you love the whole story in the end!

Started to hate but grew to love is a VERY fitting description; even just from the clips seen in this video.

It was an honor and a pleasure to be able to bring this story forward, and I can only hope that more and more people get to experience it the way I did when I was watching along at the time. Cheers to one of the greatest MK players in the world.

Now THIS! This is what i call a video. Jesus man, this was amazing. Good job on the video, I loved the editing, the interviews, everything. You sir, did a great job and deserve at least a million subscribers. P.s I love the Athan that you put on the background at 10:15, I felt like it added a lot to the scene.

I'm infinitely grateful for the kind words, and I am thankful the you appreciate the inclusion. If you help support the channel and share around to anyone that might enjoy it, I'm sure we'll get to that 1 million mark in the future! Thank you!

This was an amazing video !! Keep it up man, I enjoyed every second, & even found myself cheering at my phone when Roethor got the first Dub. Really brought the emotions out !
@XDeejАй бұрын
Roethor has proven to be the 'fly in the ointment' for many a hopeful in Rips Arena, and he's always a wildcard in any fight. A very cool showdown to hinge the story on. Super glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for the kind words!

A lot of time, effort, and research went into breathing life into this story, and I'd absolutely love for that to happen! Feel free and encouraged to share where you can. 😉 Even if not, the kind words and support are hugely appreciated!

I'm not gonna lie - feeling genuine, heartfelt emotions towards 'The Greatest Villain in ESports' was not a twist I was expecting in this video! A cool story told in a really interesting and compelling way!

Not the hero we deserved, but the hero we needed... I'm glad the story translated the way that I had hoped it would.

As a supporter of R1ps since the MK11 days, this was a wonderful watch. This is exactly the kind of coverage R1ps Arena deserves and I'm so happy that you are shining a well-earned light on them. You've earned a subscrber 😊😊
@XDeejАй бұрын
I had almost NO connection to the FGC, and I am still a wildly ametuer player (but thorough enjoyer) of the MK series. Even without a lot of skill or insight into that world, R1ps and the RA community is responsible for rekindling my love for the series again, and the AiF story got me back into it in a big way. Being able to interview those guys and get a look behind the scenes was an exciting opportunity, and they were all absolutely amazing to work with.
@FluidoftheDruidsАй бұрын
This whole video was a rollercoaster of emotions even as someone who hasn't played MK in YEARS. How was this story not more widely known?!? Also, your captions are on point.

The world is full of amazing stories all over that are lost to time each and every day. I'm just hoping to be able to bring some of them to light when I happen to stumble across them. 😊

While I've never played or followed MK, I can say this with all honesty: This story was compelling, my curiosity was piqued, and I found myself hoping to see ArenaIsFree win in the end. Knowing the background about SchoolMan I think ArinaIsFree did, in fact, win. Amazing video, expertly edited, and wonderfully narrated. 10/10 will watch again / share / recommend.

I've leaned into my natural state of trying to find the story that wants to be told, and bringing that story forward. Even though it's in an area where I don't normally create content, for a game I don't normally play, it feels good to be able to take that approach on a project. As always, I'm happy to have the support and encouragement. This one took a while, and I'm glad to get the impression the story translated the way I had hoped.

I havent ever got into mortal kombat like that, but mercy has got to be the most toxic thing i have ever seen lol, giving them another life just to beat em again. Awesome🤣

I didn't even know it was a thing until I saw him doing it lol. Definitely a toxic move, but even weirder when I found out who it was coming from lol

Do you plan on releasing the interviews?
@XDeejАй бұрын
That's not super likely. Across all the interviews, it was about 9 hours of footage, and with english being a second language for the EU people I spoke with, a decent chunk of that time is seeking clarity and framing. I suppose if there's enough interest in it I could release them in an unlisted playlist or something, but I hadn't really considered doing so at this point.

10:48 why there’s a call for prayer “adhan” and people talking over it? Please edit that out because it’s considered to be disrespectful. Other than that great video!
@XDeej27 күн бұрын
The tone matched the intensity and thematic framing for that moment in the story. You can choose to observe the Adhan there if you wish, or just take it as the atmospheric inclusion in the video it was intended to be. that's your call... It wasn't intended as an act of disrespect, I can appreciate your perspective, but respectfully, I also won't be altering the video.
@MissMindykinsАй бұрын
Absolutely wild story, and it was super cool to hear from people who were there while everything was happening in real time!! I was def team ArenaIsFree about halfway through the video...and honestly was even MORE of a fan once the mask was off. That Marvel style end scene was also *chef's kiss*
@XDeejАй бұрын
I don't wanna get into too many spoilers in the comments, but having a chance to speak with ArenaisFree directly was a really great experience, and I'm super happy to have been able to bring this story to more people. Hopefully others find this hidden gem to be as cool as I thought it was when I experienced it while the events were originally unfolding.
