Really miss watching Seppo play. Such a great attitude. He bombs the disc on amazing lines. I always wanted to see him on the lead card challenging the best players. He made the choice to stay in Finland and be a top shelf family man. Gotta respect that but we miss his energy and enthusiasm for the sport. Come to America to visit for a few tournaments every year, please. Great to see you again.

I like how Seppo is really honest about the fact that the really hardest courses are sometimes boring to watch since rarely someone throws a good shot. I guess it comes down whether we wan't to watch harder holes or people throwing well. A mix of that would be ideal of course.
@JW-ff1nc3 ай бұрын
Its not a fact hard courses are boring, its his opinion.
@villehytonen72793 ай бұрын
I think he meant that is not fun to play courses that are very hard. That's why I dont usually play courses above my skill level because it takes all the fun out of it.

So my favorite episodes of these practice rounds is when you guys deep-dive on a topic and share your analysis/opinions on it from a pro’s perspective - just like Nate did with the foot fault topic here. I would love to see you guys experiment with a few episodes of this where you intentionally pick a topic to talk about while playing - with your guest sharing his/her opinion as well. It would feel more like a mix between a course overview and how to play it AND a podcast. Maybe just consider giving it a try for an episode or 2 and seeing what the community thinks?

I think foot faults outside circle 2 or 3 should only be called if they're egregious. Like if it's obvious they're trying to get an advantage or something. Otherwise, what real advantage are you gaining by accidentally stepping 2 inches closer to the basket when you're like 100+ feet away?
@nathanfrazier85253 ай бұрын
That's my take as well. If there's no advantage especially on a 400' wide open hole then I'm not calling it, a tricky putt that your off foot gives you an advantage then I'm calling it every time
@bunker12133 ай бұрын
@RippedWarrior So if Nate was doing a stepping out shot and gained an advantage it was right to call it on him? From what I've heard about the rule, at least two people need to agree on the call, so maybe that means someone else on the card also thought it was an advantage?

My man is trying to make it believable that hole 11 isnt insane. But Big Jerm is correct. Almost everyone within the cash line of day 1 got a par or worse. Few of them trees need to be cleared for worlds. Great day 1 live coverage though. Love disc golf weekends.
@McSlobo3 ай бұрын
Go buy some non-DEET insect repellant, they're widely available. (DEET degrades plastic.) Oh, and the birches. Well... Europe is so north compared to mainland USA. Most don't believe it but Canada's southernmost bits are about as south as Barcelona or Rome. New York is south of Naples. Therefore birch forests are more common in northermost states like Maine or Minnesota.
