Mine was a gift and I’ll admit at first I hated it because of the way the form factor is structured. But after working with it for a little while, I realize the only thing that was missing was the touchscreen and overall it’s really not that bad. It’s one of those things where you really have to just take some time with it and avoid letting yourself be frustrated. I’ve been using MPC‘s since 2001 so at this point it doesn’t make sense for me to buy every single version of the new ones because they’re all basically the same so I think my next purchase will be the X SE

@PetrolMediaIncКүн бұрын
Correct. If I had one of those units, I wouldn’t even be doing this. But doing things from the studio 2, although you can run everything from the controller itself, there are some things that are just simpler with the touchscreen and the hardware units. The main reason the video was made was because I had these two items and I realized I could just marry them together to solve this problem.

Subbed I preach this often in the forums. I love using a computer, it’s how I began. I just acquired a Studio Black a couple weeks ago. Once you go Black you never go back. The mk2 cut my mouse usage to about 25% The Studio Black brings it down to 5%. Great video brother!
@PetrolMediaInc12 күн бұрын
Thank you for the amazing comment. I just kind of felt happy doing a lot of research before purchasing my next one because I’ve been an MPC since the 2000 XL days, it’s really important when it comes to the new machine to buy the best possible option rather than just buy all the options. Especially when all the new machines are essentially the same machine just more buttons. And I couldn’t find a reasonable reason to replace my studio 2 with something like the touch, live, or live 2. I think it does make complete sense to get an MPCX or XSE, at least for my needs because I can see that being the main machine in the studio, because I’m never gonna get rid of the 5000 or the 1000 and the 5000 is going to end up working in conjunction with a lot of my outboard gear because it just works really well with them and that workflows great whenever I don’t want to touch a computer or work with the MPC two software or three software for that matter because that requires a computer, and working with the hardware units they’re just mini computer interfaces themselves so it’s a different workflow style and I’m not upset about that. It’s great to learn it because it is the future, but the other ones are just so simplistic and so fast that they bought them just being flat out fun for me.
@blkgostnone409212 күн бұрын
@ like how you think brother! I have a few myself. I’m currently in “collecting mode” 😂….but trust and believe they all get in the rotation of usage

Using the software is just not it… better off going with Abelton or maschine if you want to go the controller route.. MPC software is lacking compared to other controller options
@PetrolMediaInc9 күн бұрын
I never said the software was better. The hardware is definitely better for a user experience, but the software is significantly more powerful because of the computer that it’s on. I wouldn’t use Appleton or maschine at this point because that would require me to stop what I’m doing and learn that and that would take away too much time.
