It turns out the included instructions were very plain and clear about how to operate the vacuum filler, but I was just too dumb; I looked at them for like 1 second and disregarded them -- to my own demise.
But the pen works well, like all the other Nahvalur pens I have, and I really am kind of entranced by how sparkly it is.

Ah, UV goes through clouds. Dunno where I first learned that but it's important to know. Top-of-foot sunburns are nasty too, I got that in Florida the same day the bottom of my feet got chopped up by broken seashells while sifting for fossilized shark teeth. Nice pen.

Yeah. I have acne and hyperpigmentation from it so when I went to the dermatologist, I was surprised when they told me that I should wear sunscreen even if it’s cloudy.

When I was 12 or 13 my mop gave me an old vacuum filler foutain pen she had. I had never seen this before and I was amazed by the older but more elegant technology.

I was trying to hold out on a rambly comment until the end, but the sunburn got me - overcast is when people tend to get burned because you're not perceiving the heat but still receiving the sweet, sweet UV. Add in reflections off the water and it's peak sunburn time. I am enjoying this video a lot. Thoughts: absolutely, black or very dark ink are peak for bringing out the shimmer. I'm not necessarily big on sparkles, but this finer shimmer IS getting me. Nice chop cut at the beginning. I laughed out loud. Hearing the instructions and your face when you realised what you'd done with the pen was so funny. Not intuitive! Finally: I love the way you say the word "crisp". It's very nice in your accent/particular way of speaking. On to enjoying the drawing.

Heatstroke from sunburn sure is a thing! Sunscreen can actually be a massive pain - you need way more on your face than you think apart from anything else, which means the sprays and sticks tend to be inadequate. There are some much lighter, less textually torturous sunscreens available from East Asia - not FDA approved but well tested, FDA can just move very slowly.

Hi Peter. Thanks for the video. I used to get sun sick when I was a kid. Don't forget cold showers when you get burned. In the end, it feels really healing and you may find yourself napping in the tub. Suck the heat out with ice packs until it stops burning. The longest I've had to sit was 16 hours straight. That was a steam burn on my wrist. Steam burns are terrible things. Stay safe. Love you. ♥

I got my first ever sunburn when I was on a ship on the ocean. I also learned that for some odd reason of physics the suns reflection off of water tends to fry skin much quicker. Sounds like you had a "fly" hook known as a "spinner". I tied my own flys many years ago. As I don't eat fish these days, I'm known to not put a hook on my line, just a bobber or sometimes a small sinker, drop it in the water and sit there in blessed silence. Keeps people from bugging you.

I would actually love a vac-filled Peter pen. If you ever want to get a complete fill with it, turn it upside down, pull the plunger all the way out, and push the air in it out. Once all the air is out, flip it back around and press the plunger all the down again. That should get you close to, if not a full fill. Vac-fillers are just fun to use I think and hold a ton of ink. Love the sparkles on this one too. It matches the sparkly personality of your vids.

Up here in northern Minnesota, pontoon boats are a must! Everyone who lives anywhere near a lake has one (so there's many lakes and pontoon boats) Yeah, be careful what sunscreen you use, and where on your body. There's sunscreen and sunblock, both work differently, but I use 100SPF and have to reapply it quite often. Sunsick is awful 😮 (almost time to go to the ER type sick) I'm really pale as well, and yeah, cloudy days you can get sunburn too. I would think it would be really neat to see what you would do with fishing lures! There's so many types out there that I imagine you could think of something ☺ I love your piano piece at the end, it made me feel happy 😊

grabbing the wrong mug lmaooooo. my dad used to make the mistake of using his old coffee mug to ash his cigarettes in while he was working, then he'd go get a fresh mug of coffee to have a coffee mug and an ash mug. he'd get distracted and accidentally try to take a sip out of the ash mug~ hilarious every time~

Re: your sunburn - living in Australia, you learn real quick that UV rays can get through clouds really easily, especially if you're on the water, I don't know why, maybe it reflects the light more. As for your 'sun poisoning', if it was a bad enough burn, you might've given yourself a 2nd degree burn. One of my friends had that (which she also got on a cloudy day!). The skin on her back blistered :(

Ahh u used reflective glitters, it looks very pretty💕💕💕 Reflective glitter is similar to road signs or safety vests, where it flashes strongly when light is directed at it This has been a very popular ingrediet in nail polish in the past few years, as it looks like regular glitter in normal light, and flashes really bright when taking a pic using flash. Its significantly sparklier than regular glitter because of this property ^^ Its nice seeing the component used on other products✨

As you gain muscle memory, you'll notice your playing naturally starts to sound more expressive. It's all about that repetition, bay-bee... as the kids say. Recording yourself and listening back to it is a great way to learn and improve, too. You're doing great, Peter!

I did a little research on the Roxborough coal plant in school during a paper I cowrote! Unfortunately, Duke Energy has very efficiently gotten away with inflicting devastating coal ash pollution on communities and then convincing them that they shouldn't do anything about it. The more you learn about Duke Energy, the deeper you realize the rabbit-hole of malevolence gets. And at the same time I share your appreciation of funky industrial structures haha. Yeah I was reading a little about it too, and it’s just amazing how much pollution they pump out, even if that is steam coming out of the stacks. One place I was reading stated that in 2006 the power plant was responsible for 15 million tons of CO2 emissions, and in 2010, 120 deaths from fine particle pollution.

My guy when you mess up, DONT SHAKE YOUR HEAD! As a listener the slight pause and sourness of the note actually fit with the jazzy theme, and I would have never noticed the mistake. Rule #2 of music is to pretend like you never make mistakes cause chances are the mistake is a texture that feels good to the ears (rule #1 is to have fun, thats why it rhymes)

FACT we scratch a specific part of our head - in the same place the 'oops I shoulda had a V8' commercial actors thump theirs. Tony Soprano would knock a fool in the same spot. --- FACT there are acupuncture points in these spots that stimulate cognition. Its true!
