Great to see someone playing small country town clubs. I’m trying to play ever course in Australia, played plenty of sand scrapes. In WA playing some courses should try and have a hit at Kwinana.

Yeah, I can imagine it to be an eye opener. I posted a short video a little while ago and couldn’t belive the thousands of comments I was getting from Americans saying they’ve never seen it before. I thought it was normal tbh.

@@GolfandJoel take your mate Matt down that way. Cott are buddy club with Denmark. Walpole has 18 synthetic greens then Mt Barker for Sand greens. Where else can you play grass, synthetic and sand greens back to back.. keep up the good work.
@quicksilver251025 күн бұрын
Played on sand greens for decades. Once you get used to them, they're actually easier than normal greens. The trick is to run it onto the green. You cant land them on, or they'll just bounce off.

no, you can't have 'the most unique...' either something is unique or it isn't, there are no degrees. that said, sand greens are a huge fun machine.

Huh ??? Unique ???... go to any small outback town, most will have a golf course ... nothing unique here ... try Coober Pedy, White Cliffs, Longreach, Kununurra just to name a few ... yes ive played them and many more ...
@GolfandJoel25 күн бұрын
Yeah yeah yeah I know. BUT, you do also have to understand that a majority of people have never even seen a sand green let alone played on one. I put a video on tik tok and I would say I had 500 people comment they’d never seen one before. And if you wanted to really go unique, I can’t imagine many other courses have a water run-off catching system for the old steam trains….? 😂 but look, my idea was to try get as many people as possible to see this video, so more people would see that golf isn’t just played on grass greens. We know there’s lots of courses with sand greens 👍 cheers for watching though mate. Appreciate it

@@GolfandJoel Fair enough ... people should get out more then lol. I assumed most golfers knew ??? I love playing remote country courses, the camaraderie and spirit amongst the members is always wonderful. Anyway my picks are Coober Pedy (awesome layout), Winton Qld. and for a real challenge White Cliffs NSW. Oh and some courses ive played are inside the local race course lol. Happy golfing !!!!!
