Is This The Most UNWELCOMING Market in the PHILIPPINES? 🇵🇭

This is a vlog I filmed while traveling in the Mindanao Province of the Philippines.
I love markets, but for some reason, this one looked intimidating and unwelcoming to me. I was pleasantly surprised by this wet market. The Cogon Public Market at the center of Cagayan de Oro turns out to be an amazing market.

Definitely! I always find markets so fascinating. It does tell a lot about the local culture... from the food and the type of diet to the actual lifestyle. Glad you found it interesting. It was quite a long one.

Be interested in hearing your thoughts on Mindanao, as it is a predominately Muslim area, I am a Brit living in Dubai and the M.East for 23 years and the Filipino culture here is alive and thriving with Kabayan here!

I found my time in the Mindanao very interesting. The province still has a bad rep because of terrorism and other issues they've had in the past, but I found that the vibe was very peaceful and welcoming. People seem to be surprised and happy to see a tourist there. I definitely want to go back. There is indeed a larger muslim community than in other parts of the country, but I don't know if I would say that it is predominantly Muslim... well from the places I went to anyways. Still seems like the majority is Christian. But I could be wrong.

Yeah. Same man. I feel like if I lived close to this market, I'd be more likely to cook and I would eat more fish. Hahaha! I had super limited space in my luggage, but I'll keep an eye open for those ;)
