Blancpain like to prioritise luxury above tool even though it's a diver. It's about a conforming and flowing bracelet . More a dress diver so to speak. Better off with the rubber or both

@@sergezerkin . What I meant is that BP want the bracelet to look like a real bracelet and they think that it looks more classy. I agree that a slide clasp is the way to go and yes its ridiculous that they wont add one. Even a Chinese zelos has a great slide clasp. That aside though. There is nothing Rolex can teach Blancpain. I own both and have owned many models. Blancpain by a mile.

@@joelopic you can have a bracelet with a quick adjust clasp and be elegant. I hate to say it but Rolex datejust for example. I just feel like if I’m going to be spending tens of thousands on a watch I want to make sure it will fit perfectly all the time when my wrist swells or shrinks.

I draw the line at £1000 when it comes to watch price. Everything beyond that is simply unjustifiable, modern machines made production costs immeasurably smaller than even 50 years ago.

They are a different league in regards to hi horology. I think there competition is more the Yacht master and the AP Offshore which I think is over rated. So it's a good chance of kicking it's ass.

I like the watch a lot; tried it on over the weekend (the blue titanium) at the boutique here in Madrid. The flaw in your argument through is that the AP Offshore you cant find at retail and I think we will see the new FF 42mm at a substantial discount in the gray market within a few months@@joelopic
